We’re in for a tough clash between the two teams at the bottom of the table, and a big match between Monaco and Marseille, who are both chasing third place in the league.

Below, you’ll find our expert tips and predictions for each of the five matches on Sunday.

Today’s Ligue 1 betting tips & predictions

Angers vs. Lyon (2pm)

Angers and Lyon are in completely different positions, but they’re in the same form—and it’s not good at all.

Angers have lost five of their last six matches, failing to score in four of them. Lyon were the team in the best form in Europe less than two months ago, and now they haven’t won in eight consecutive matches.

Both teams are facing the same problem—a lack of goals. There’s definitely a risk, but we plan to bet on under 2.5 goals given their struggles.

Angers vs. Lyon top betting tip: Under 2.5 goals

Le Havre vs. Auxerre (4:15pm)

Le Havre and Auxerre are fighting for the same thing—staying in the top flight—and this match will certainly be a key one at the end of the season.

Le Havre haven’t won in five consecutive matches, failing to score a single goal in four of them. Brest has similar statistics, with the difference being that they won their last match before the break.

We expect a fierce battle for survival, as this is a chance for both teams to prove themselves. Six of the last seven head-to-head matches have featured at least one goal from each team.

Lorient vs. Paris FC (4:15pm)

Lorient had a chance to close in on a European spot, but their form has dipped and they now look set to finish in the middle of the table. Paris FC will likely be right behind them, needing just one or two more wins to secure their place in the league.

The teams have already faced each other twice this season, with Paris FC winning the league fixture, while Lorient knocked them out of the Coupe de France.

We expect a relatively close match, given that Paris have improved their defensive play and lost only two of their last 10 matches. But Lorient are one of the strongest home teams in the league, and we expect them to win by a narrow margin.

Lorient vs. Paris FC top betting tip: Lorient to win

Metz vs. Nantes (4:15pm)

Metz and Nantes face off in a desperate battle for survival. Even a draw isn’t enough for either of these teams, who occupy the bottom two spots in the league—only a win will do.

The form of both teams is virtually identical, with the exception of isolated wins, such as Nantes’ victory over Le Havre a month ago. For this match, we’ll have to rely on the head-to-head history between the two teams, which heavily favors Metz.

The hosts have lost only once in their last 10 matches against Nantes, winning the last three.

Metz vs. Nantes top betting tip: Metz to win

Monaco vs. Marseille (7:45pm)

Every point is crucial in the race for the Champions League, and Monaco are just three points behind Marseille, who sit in third place.

The Monegasques have improved their form at just the right moment of the season, as they are the only team in the league with six consecutive wins. Marseille, on the other hand, were far from convincing before the international break and have only four wins in their last 10 matches.

We expect to see plenty of goals in this match, but the opposite is also possible, so we’ll simply go with a Monaco win. In the last three rounds, Lyon and PSG have won. We feel that Marseille could be the next to fall.

Monaco vs. Marseille top betting tip: Monaco to win
