Matchday 8 in the Bundesliga concludes with a pair of immediate rematches from Tuesday’s DFB-Pokal second round.
In Berlin, 17th-placed Union Berlin host 12th-placed FC Koln just days after suffering a 5-0 cup thrashing at the RheinEnergieSTADION. Meanwhile in Frankfurt, Eintracht welcome Hamburger to Deutsche Bank Park, looking to repeat their midweek 3-1 victory over the newly promoted side.

Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions
Union Berlin vs. FC Koln (2:30pm)
Union Berlin host FC Koln seeking swift retribution after being crushed 5-0 by the Billy Goats in their midweek DFB-Pokal clash.
In the league, Union occupy 17th spot and have found goals hard to come by, drawing their last two matches against Borussia Dortmund and Augsburg. FC Koln sit 12th in the table and arrive brimming with confidence following that cup rout.
While the Billy Goats have struggled for league wins on the road, their psychological upper hand will test Union's cautious setup. But this time, I expect more from the hosts, and I will be backing BTTS.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Hamburger (4:30pm)
Eintracht Frankfurt welcome Hamburger just days after knocking them out of the DFB-Pokal with an emphatic 3-1 victory at the Volksparkstadion. Frankfurt were ruthlessly efficient in that encounter, displaying the attacking depth that hasn’t always been that visible this season.
Hamburger showed flashes of danger on the counter, but their defensive line continues to make unnecessary mistakes that lead to goals. Nevertheless, we shouldn’t forget that they won three Bundesliga matches in a row recently, and definitely have potential.
This clash is more difficult than it looks at first glance, and I believe there is potential for another goal-packed encounter. Considering how inconsistent Eintracht have been this season, I see enough reason to back BTTS again.
