REMEMBER Terry Gibson? Well, we've signed him and while he won't be kicking a football he'll be looking into his crystal ball and bringing us his best Spanish tips every week.
The ex-Spurs, Coventry and Manchester United striker is probably best remembered for his time as part of the infamous Wimbledon Crazy Gang side of the late 80s and early 90s. Now an expert in all things La Liga he works as a pundit and co-commentator on Sky Sports’ Spanish football coverage and is a contributor to unibet.
Here he previews Leganes' trip to the Nou Camp.
Barcelona v Leganes (Sat 7.45pm)
Still, only just, unbeaten after last week’s dramatic late comeback at Sevilla, Barcelona will clearly have too much for a team who have “punched above their weight” again this season.
Despite Barca not being at their best recently they are still getting the job done in impressive fashion. We saw how much the unbeaten run in La Liga meant to Messi and co last week and they won’t get beaten in this game.
Barcelona’s last La Liga defeat was back on April 8, last season at Malaga and I believe they will go a whole 12 months unbeaten. That is pretty impressive, even by their standards.
Leganés have somehow accumulated 36 points by only scoring 36 goals and I believe they will try to put up a fight defensively in this game. They will be defiant and well coached, but they won’t be able to keep them out for 90 minutes.
I’m going for a relatively comfortable 3-0 home win with, understandably, Messi getting the first goal of the game.
