Nice and Marseille will renew hostilities in Ligue 1 at the Allianz Riviera on Sunday night.
The two south-coast rivals will be looking to bounce back from their respective setbacks last weekend.
Fifth placed Nice succumbed to a 2-1 loss away at Lille, while second in the table Marseille lost more ground on leaders PSG when stumbling to a 1-1 draw at home to Strasbourg.

Everything points towards a goal-filled game on Sunday night. As such, I’m more than happy to start with two or more goals as the first leg of the Bet Builder. There have been at least two match strikes in a sizable 16 of Nice’s 18 Ligue 1 matches this season, including each of their last eight outings.
As for Marseille, all bar one of their opening 18 league games of the season have delivered two match goals or more. That 18-game sample includes eight of their nine games away from their Stade Velodrome base. It’s also worth noting that the reverse fixture between the pair earlier this season delivered exactly two goals.
3+ Corners for Each Team
Given that both teams like to play on the front foot, a minimum of three corners apiece looks well within the realms of possibility. Nice are averaging in the region of 4.5 corners per-game in Ligue 1 this season, covering the 3+ line in each of their eight league games in front of their own supporters this season.
While Marseille are averaging just 3.72 team corners per 90 in the French top-flight this term, they have earned three or more flag-kicks in eight of their last nine league games, including nine against Strasbourg last time out.
1+ Card for Each Team
There's no love lost between these two rivals so there is a chance tempers could boil over during this dust-up. That was certainly the case when the pair last crossed paths, with six yellow cards and one red card being brandished on that occasion. Thus, I’ll happlily wrap up the Bet Builder with both teams to receive at least one card each.
Since the start of the season, Nice’s games in Ligue 1 have averaged 4.17 cards per 90, while Marseille are not far behind with their tally of 4.11 per-game. What’s more, both teams have gone into the book in 15 of Nice’s 18 Ligue 1 matches this season, and likewise in 15 of Marseille's opening 18 league games of the campaign. On top of all that, referee Eric Wattellier has flashed a card to both teams in eight of the nine Ligue 1 games that he has taken charge of this term.
