Fighting it out for a spot in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund square off at MetLife Stadium on Saturday night.
After beginning the Xabi Alonso era with a 1-1 draw against Al-Hilal, Real Madrid rebounded with a pair of wins to top Group H before going on to defeat Juventus in the round of 16.
As for Borussia Dortmund, they took section honours in Group F before edging past Mexican giants Monterrey to set up this last 16 showdown with Los Blancos.
Unsurprisingly, five-time Club World Cup winners Real Madrid are firm favourites to win inside 90 minutes here at a general 8/13 with most firms.
However, I’ve identified a player-based selection that I'm more than happy to support at the odds currently on offer.
Niklas Sule can be backed at a best price of 10/11 on William Hill to commit a minimum of one foul during this contest and that looks too big to ignore.
The German international has started two of Dortmund’s three Club World Cup matches, committing a foul in two of those three contests.
Now up against a star-studded Real Madrid side, there is plenty of scope for Sule to overstep the mark again on Saturday night.
Typically stationed on the right hand side of BVB's back three, Sule is likely to cross paths with Real Madrid foul magnet Vinicius Junior.
The Brazilian forward has a real knack for drawing fouls from the opposition, evidenced by the fact that he was earning Real Madrid an average of 2.80 free-kicks per game in La Liga last season.
What’s more, Vinicius has been brought down on no fewer than seven occasions across his last three outings at the Club World Cup, including five times against Pachuca.
So with all that in mind, the aforementioned Sule holds plenty of appeal at 10/11 (William Hill) to fall foul of the referee at least once on Saturday night.
