SlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of Sheffield United and Sunderland's encounter in the English Championship on Wednesday night.

Sheffield United vs Sunderland (Wednesday, 20:00)

One of the standout fixtures from the latest batch of English Championship matches takes place at Bramall Lane on Wednesday night afternoon, as Sheffield United square off with Sunderland.

I've already penned a separate match preview on this midweek meeting in South Yorkshire but I've since identified a Bet Builder whereby I'm happy to follow a familiar theme.

Dipping into Sky Bet's corner market, it's the 4/5 (SkyBet.) about each team to hit 3+ corners and each team to receive 10+ booking points that has caught my eye once more.

Sheffield United were earning a healthy 5.85 corners per 90 minutes in the second tier last season, a tally that increased to 6.13 when operating at their Steel City headquarters.

Newly promoted Sunderland, on the other hand, were also prominent in the corner rankings last term, averaging 5.89 corners per game, not to mention they have racked up 17 flag kicks across their opening three games this season.

With that in mind, coupled with the likelihood of a decent degree of goalmouth action here, three corners apiece doesn't look like too much to ask of two clubs in decent form.

To round off the Bet Builder I'm going with each side to receive 10+ booking points in what should be a closely-fought battle under the Bramall Lane lights.

Paul Heckingbottom's hosts were averaging 1.93 yellow cards per game last season, while Sunderland’s figure sat at 1.98, not to mention referee James Linington has been selected to take charge of this clash, an appointment that immediately had my eyes drawn to the card markets.

The EFL whistler was one of the more card-happy operators in the lower leagues last season, averaging 49.84 booking points per game, and he has awarded each team a card in his two outings this term to date.

It’s also worth pointing out that the aforementioned combination has paid out in each of the pair's collective six Championship outings this season so far and that only adds to the appeal of supporting the same wager on Wednesday night.
