SlipsTips shares a Total Teams Goals double ahead of Tuesday night's Scottish League Cup action.
Queen's Park vs Elgin (Tuesday, 19:45)
Queen’s Park resume their Scottish League Cup campaign with a home game against Elgin City on Tuesday night.
Callum Davidson’s men made a flying start in Group C by putting Peterhead to the sword 5-0 on matchday one.
However, the Spiders were brought back down to earth with a bump after being hammered 5-1 away at Hibernian last midweek.
The Glasgow-based club have had seven days to stew over their capital crushing but a home game with Elgin represents a good opportunity to get back on track.
Allan Hale’s side are propping up the pool following heavy defeats against Hibs and Peterhead either side of a 1-1 draw with Kelty Hearts.
Following Kelty’s shock 1-0 win over Hibernian on Saturday, Queen’s Park could propel themselves back into qualifying contention with maximum points from their final two group matches.
With that in mind, I’m going to back the Spiders to strike twice as the first leg of a 10/11 (William Hill) double when they go up against an Elgin defence that has shipped 10 goals across their opening three League Cup contests.
Buckie Thistle vs Dundee United (Tuesday, 20:00)
Dundee United will be bidding to make it three wins on the bounce in Scottish League Cup Group B when they pay Buckie Thistle a visit on Tuesday night.
After stumbling to a 2-0 defeat at Falkirk in their section opener, United have rebounded with back-to-back wins over both Stenhousemuir and Ayr United.
Buckie, meanwhile, are rooted to the foot of the table with zero points following a pair of heavy defeats at the hands of both Stenhousemuir and Falkirk.
Given the current lay of the land in Group B, Jim Goodwin’s side are not only in must-win territory on Tuesday night, but a landslide victory is also needed given that goal difference could be absolutely crucial in the race for top spot in the section.
As such, I’m going to round off the 10/11 double on William Hill with a minimum of three Dundee United goals.
The Highlanders have been hit for nine goals across their opening two Scottish League Cup games so a trio of strikes should be within range for the goal-chasing Terrors.
Recommended Bet
- Over 1.5 Queen's Park Goals
- Over 2.5 Dundee United Goals
- Double (10/11, William Hill)
