After delivering yet another winner in his featured column on Saturday, SlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of Rangers' Scottish League Cup semi-final tie with Hibernian at Hampden on Sunday.
Rangers vs Hibernian (Sunday, 16:00)
Rangers will begin life after Steven Gerrard when they lock horns with Hibernian in the semi-finals of the Premier Sports Cup at Hampden on Sunday.
New Gers boss Giovanni Van Bronckhorst will have a watching brief from the stand as the Scottish champions endeavour to extend their eight-game unbeaten run and seal their passage to next month's showpiece in the process.
Hibs, on the other hand, impressed with a strong start to the season but have slowly tailed off in recent weeks – losing each of their last four Scottish Premiership matches.
As such, Rangers are worthy favourites here but they are unlikely to have things all their own way, so I'm going to swerve the match result market and instead make use of McBookie's Bet Builder feature.
If we combine over zero match goals, over five match corners and over three match cards we can get some 19/20 (McBookie) and that makes plenty of appeal.
There has been a minimum of one match goal in 23 of the pairs collective 24 league outings this term and Sunday's showdown at the national stadium should deliver a decent degree of goalmouth action given that neither defence is watertight and each side is capable in attack.
These two teams tend to play forward-thinking football and with that in mind, I'll also back both sides to combine for six or more corners during this semi-final clash.
Unsurprisingly, the pair are strong flagkick performers in the Scottish Premiership this term, with the Light Blues averaging a league-high 9.23 corners per-game, while Hibs are hitting a healthy 5.45 per 90.
There's little love lost between these clubs and this crunch match in Mount Florida should ratchet up the tension even more, so I'll round off the Bet Builder with over three match cards.
Kevin Clancy has been handed the whistle for this hotly-anticipated cup tie and the experienced Scottish referee, who is averaging a shade under four cards per-game domestically this season, should be kept busy during this contest.
Both teams are averaging north of 1.6 cards per game in the Scottish top-flight this season, not to mention last month's fiery meeting at Ibrox featured six yellows and one red.
In fact, the aforementioned Bet Builder would have paid out in Govan and that only adds to the appeal of supporting the same formula at Hampden on Sunday in what is expected to be a pulsating semi-final and fantastic atmosphere.
