SlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of Rangers' meeting with Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night.
Rangers vs Aberdeen (Wednesday, 19:45)
There will be a poignant atmosphere inside Ibrox on Wednesday night as Rangers play host to Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.
Scottish football is in mourning following the death of Walter Smith and the Light Blues will look to celebrate the life of their legendary manager by landing three points against old adversaries Aberdeen,
I've covered this clash in more detail in a separate match preview, but I'm also going to combine over one Rangers goal and over 19.5 Aberdeen Booking Points, a 10/11 (William Hill) play that makes plenty of appeal.
Aberdeen's struggles during the opening quarter of the season have been well-documented, with the Dandies posting a paltry two shutouts across their opening 10 league games, failing to record a clean sheet on the road in the process.
That doesn't bode well for an Aberdeen backline that looks set to have a makeshift look about them at Ibrox due to their ever-growing injury list.
With that in mind, I'll happily back the Teddy Bears to strike twice on Wednesday night, but to boost the odds. I'll throw over 19.5 Aberdeen Booking Points into the equation.
Stephen Glass' side are averaging 2.2 yellow cards per game this season, with the Dons collecting two or more cautions in six of their last eight Scottish Premiership outings.
What's more, each of the seven sides to visit Ibrox on domestic duty this season so far have clocked up at least two cards and I see no reason to oppose a repeat here given the historic rivalry between the two teams.
We also have a favourable referee appointment in John Beaton, who has been one of the more card-happy operators in Scotland this season, averaging lofty 6.75 cards per-game this term.
It's also worth noting that the aforementioned combination has clicked in each of Aberdeen's last three away matches and that only adds to the appeal of supporting the same formula in what is sure to be an emotionally charged night in Govan.
