After delivering another winner in his featured column on Sunday, SlipsTips returns to share a selection from the English Championship on Wednesday night.
Nottingham Forest vs Coventry City (Wednesday, 19:45)
Nottingham Forest will be looking to stretch their unbeaten run in the English Championship to nine matches when they come up against Coventry City on Wednesday night.
Following an impressive 4-1 win at Blackpool on Saturday, Steve Cooper’s side sit seventh after a stellar run in 2022 which has put them hot on the heels of the top-six.
Meanwhile, after a fantastic period in the autumn, the wheels seem to be coming off a bit for Coventry who have won just one of their last seven matches.
That sequence means Mark Robins’ men have fallen to 11th place in the Championship table and they can ill-afford to allow their playoff rivals to get further away from them when they make the trip to the City Ground this midweek.
Forest backers will be offered a general even-money about Steve Copper’s side securing a fourth win on the spin but we can get some 11/10 (Bet 365) on the home team scoring two or more goals and that looks like an enticing alternative.
As already mentioned, the Tricky Trees struck four times at Blackpool last time out, not to mention they racked up four and three goals respectively in their two triumphs either side of that Bloomfield Road romp to victory.
What’s more, Nottingham Forest have scored a minimum of two goals in eight of their last 11 second tier outings, including four of their last five fixtures.
That doesn’t bode well for a Coventry City side that have failed to keep their sheets clean in each of their last eight English Championship assignments – a sample of fixtures that includes games with four of the sides currently housed in the bottom-six of the standings.
It’s also worth pointing out that the Sky Blues’ backline has been breached at least twice in three of their last six last league matches, two of which were away from the Ricoh Arena.
With all that in mind, coupled with the fact that in-form Nottingham Forest have scored two goals or more in eight of their last nine home games, supporting the same wager on Wednesday night stands out at a value 11/10 (Bet 365).
