SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of Aberdeen’s clash with Livingston in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
Aberdeen vs Livingston (Saturday, 15:00)
Aberdeen will be looking to finally get up and running in the Scottish Premiership when they play host to Livingston at Pittodrie on Saturday afternoon.
Jimmy Thelin’s team are winless and without a single point from each of their opening three top-flight tussles of the season.
As for Livingston, they have amassed four points so far, however they will make the trip north having lost each of their last three matches across all competitions.
I’ve already covered this Pittodrie clash in a separate match preview but I’m going to take this opportunity to go into more detail in regards to one of the three recommended selections outlined.
Aberdeen can be backed at 5/6 with Bet365 to earn six or more corners on Saturday and that is a price that I'm more than happy to get on board with.
While the Dons have not been strong corner performers during the early weeks of the season, I’m prepared to look beyond that here given the opposition that they will be coming up against.
Livingston know how to dig in and soak up pressure, making them hard to break down, and that has coincided with the visitors conceding high volumes of corners in recent weeks.
In fact, David Martindale's men have given up 9, 10 and 9 corners across their last three matches in all competitions.
It is also worth pointing out that two of those three contests were played in front of the Lions’ own supporters, with both Hibs and Hearts covering the 9+ corner line during those contests.
While Aberdeen are struggling for form, they have some real talent in their squad and they will represent a similar standard of opposition to that of some of Livingston's recent opponents.
On top of that, Thelin’s side were averaging 6.03 corners per game in last season's Scottish Premiership, a figure that increased to 6.63 flag kicks per 90 when Aberdeen were going about their business at their Pittodrie base.
With all that in mind, Aberdeen look well worthy of support to earn a minimum of six corners on Saturday afternoon at 5/6 on Bet365.
Recommended Bet
