SlipsTips shares a selection ahead of Inverness’ clash with Stenhousemuir in Scottish League One on Saturday afternoon.
Inverness vs Stenhousemuir (Saturday, 15:00)
Inverness will look to maintain their perfect start to the Scottish League One season when they entertain Stenhousemuir on Saturday.
Scott Kellacher’s side have already overturned the -5 point deficit that they started the season with after winning each of their opening two contests of the campaign.
As for Stenhousemuir, they have made a mixed start to their league season, losing their opener 2-1 against Alloa before bouncing back with a narrow 1-0 victory over Cove Rangers last weekend.
The bookies odds suggest that Inverness will have no issues making it three wins from three, with a home success trading at a general 4/6 with most firms.
However, the hosts can be backed to score two or more goals at 19/20 with William Hill, and that looks like a worthy boost in price.
Followers of this column will know that Inverness delivered for me last weekend when seeing off Peterhead with a 2-0 victory in the Highlands.
That triumph came fresh off the back of a 3-0 success away from home at Kelty Hearts on the opening Saturday of the season, so confidence should be high in the Caley camp ahead of his weekend's clash with the Warriors.
While Stenhousemuir will be buoyed by last week’s aforementioned 1-0 home win over Cove Rangers, their travel sickness could see them brought back down to earth in the Highlands.
Gary Naysmith’s side have failed to take top honours from each of their last seven road trips across all competitions, coming away empty-handed from five of those contests.
What’s more, the Warriors have shipped multiple goals in six of their last seven matches away from their Ochilview base.
That seven-game sample includes a heavy 4-1 defeat away at Inverness during the final stretch of last season.
So with all that in mind, the 19/20 about in-form Inverness to strike at least twice on Saturday is a price that definitely represents value.
