SlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of Hearts and Celtic's hotly-anticipated Scottish Premiership showdown at Tynecastle on Wednesday night.

Hearts vs Celtic (Wednesday, 19:45)

Second meets third in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday night, as Hearts welcome Celtic to Tynecastle for a mouthwatering contest.

Following their promotion back from the second tier last season, the Jambos have enjoyed a seamless transition into life back in the top flight, with Robbie Nielson’s side firmly in the driving seat when it comes to finishing best of the rest.

In-form Celtic, meanwhile, arrive in the capital looking to keep themselves on the coat-tails of fierce foes and league leaders Rangers, who they trail by four points.

Both teams will be fully up for this given the occasion which should make for an enthralling affair, and that has led me to a nice looking Bet Builder.

If we combine Over 1.5 Goals, Over 8.5 Corners and Over 25 Booking Points we get a price of even-money (SkyBet) and that holds plenty of appeal.

Goals have been a regular feature in games involving Hearts this season, with 17 of their 21 Scottish Premiership matches producing two or more strikes.

Hearts vs Celtic

As for Celtic, attacking with ravenous intent has quickly become customary Ange Postecoglou's stewardship, with 27 of their 33 outings across all competitions this season so far featuring a minimum of two match goals.

With all that in mind, I'll happily side with over one match goal in Gorgie, but to boost the odds, I'll also throw over eight match corners into the equation.

Postecoglou’s gung-ho brand of football has seen Celtic average an eye-watering 9.52 corners per-game in the Scottish Premiership this season, while Hearts are hitting a healthy 6.09 flag kicks per 90 minutes when based at their capital headquarters.

To round off the Bet Builder I'm going with over 25 booking points in what promises to be a tasty televised tussle under the Tynecastle lights on Wednesday night.

There's little love lost between these familiar foes, not to mention referee John Beaton has been one of the more card-happy operators in Scotland this season, averaging a shade under five cards per-game this term.

It's also worth noting that the aforementioned Bet Builder has banked in three of Celtic’s last four league games and that only adds to the appeal of supporting the same bet here in what is sure to be an enjoyable encounter in Edinburgh.

Recommended Bet

  • Over 1.5 Goals
  • Over 8.5 Corners
  • Over 25 Booking Points
  • Bet Builder – 1/1 (SkyBet)
