SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of Crystal Palace’s FA Cup final clash with Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.
Crystal Palace vs Man City (Saturday, 16:30)
The 2025 FA Cup final will take centre-stage in England on Saturday, as Crystal Palace and Manchester City battle it out for the trophy at Wembley.
Crystal Palace are bidding to win their maiden FA Cup, while Man City are hoping to end a below par season on a high by scooping some silverware.
I’ve already covered Saturday’s showpiece in a separate match preview but I’m now going to turn my attention to the Bet Builder market.
Over 0 Crystal Palace Goals
Crystal Palace have proven awkward opponents for Man City in recent years, making them worthy of support to score at least once on Saturday. The Eagles have already crossed paths with City twice in the Premier League this season, scoring multiple goals on both occasions. What’s more, Oliver Glasnser’s side have notched in 22 of their last 24 matches across all competitions.
While Man City have shown some signs of improvement during the latter stages of the season, they remain untrustworthy from a defensive perspective. Pep Guardiola's side have conceded a minimum of one goal in 24 of their 36 Premier League games this season, two of which, as already mentioned, were against Crystal Palace.
Ismaila Saar 1+ Shot
For the first of two player-based selections, I’m more than happy to side with Ismaila Sarr to attempt a minimum of one shot on Saturday. The electric Eagles forward will be eagerly anticipating his return to Wembley after stealing the show with two goals against Aston Villa at the semi-final stage.
As for the Premier League, Saar has averaged a sizeable 1.48 shots per game this season, registering four against Tottenham last time out. It’s also worth noting that Saar tried his luck in front of goal in each of the Eagles’ two top flight encounters with Man City this season, and that only adds to the appeal of siding with a repeat during Saturday’s FA Cup final showdown.
Will Hughes To Commit 1+ Foul
For the third and final leg of the Bet Builder, I’m moving into the midfield battleground and taking Will Hughes to commit at least one foul. The tough-tackling Palace midfielder has been his team's most prolific hatchet-man this season, amassing 12 yellow cards across his 38 appearances in all competitions to date.
That habit of tackling himself into trouble can be attributed to the fact that Hughes’ has averaged a whopping 2.83 fouls per 90 in the top-flight this term, making one misdemeanour when the Eagles met Man City at the Etihad just last month.
