There are three Scottish Premiership matches scheduled for Wednesday night and I'm hoping to follow up on Tuesday's night's winner with a cross-match Bet Builder in Scotland.
Motherwell vs Livingston (19.45)
Motherwell and Livingston find themselves pointless following the opening two rounds of Scottish Premiership fixtures but something has to give at Fir Park on Wednesday night.
Both sides exceeded expectations last season with third and fifth-place finishes respectively but back-to-back defeats have put both sides on the back foot in the early weeks of the new campaign.
Stephen Robinson's side have been turned over by both Ross County and Dundee United while the Lions have been tamed by both St Mirren and Hibs.
Motherwell's early-season struggles can be attributed to their failure to hit the back of the net thus far but I fancy them to notch against a Livingston side who have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last nine attempts.
What's more, Gary Holt's travel-sick troops have failed to triumph in 32 of their last 34 top-flight road trips and that adds to the appeal of backing the Steelmen to finally get on the scoresheet on Wednesday night.
The hosts have racked up 15 corners across their opening two contests of the season so with that in mind I'm going to combine at least one Motherwell goal alongside over three Motherwell corners for the first half of the Bet Builder double.
Rangers vs St Johnstone (19:45)
Rangers will be looking to make it three Scottish Premiership wins on the spin when they square off with St Johnstone at Ibrox on Wednesday night.
Steven Gerrard's side have taken maximum points from their opening two tussles with Aberdeen and St Mirren and another three points this midweek would see them extend their lead over fierce rivals Celtic, at least temporarily.
Standing in the Teddy Bears' way of back-to-back home successes is a St Johnstone side who make the trip to Govan after an 11 day enforced break following the controversial postponement of last Saturday's meeting with Aberdeen at McDiarmid Park.
The Saints showed great spirit on the opening Saturday of the season when battling to a 1-1 draw with Dundee United on an afternoon where they had to play the entire second half with 10 men.
Callum Davidson will be hoping for another typically stubborn display from his St Johnstone side at Ibrox on Wednesday night, however, in-form Rangers should prove to be too strong for a Saints side who may be slightly off the pace.
Having said that, this fixture will represent the Gers third outing in six days so an emphatic home win is not envisaged and therefore I'm going to add Rangers to win and under six match goals to the the second half of the Bet Builder double to give us a nice looking Even-Money shot with Bet 365.
Recommended Bet
- Motherwell 1+ Goal & Motherwell 4+ Corners
- Rangers Win & Under 6 Match Goals
- Bet Builder Double – 1/1 (Bet 365)
nice one
Cheers mate ?
Well Done Grant. I was sweating on the corners as there weren’t that many tonight. Rangers only hit 6 which was a surprise.
Cheers mate ? Motherwell made me sweat before a second half corner flurry ?
