Having delivered a pair of winners in his featured column on Saturday, SlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of Cardiff's clash with Nottingham Forest in the English Championship on Sunday.

Cardiff vs Nottingham Forest (Sunday, 16:00)

Two English Championship sides experiencing contrasting runs of form will lock horns on Sunday afternoon as Cardiff face Nottingham Forest.

The Bluebirds have performed far below expectations this season, while a trio of league wins has seen the Tricky Trees regain some of their previous momentum to propel themselves back into top-six contention.

Forest backers will be offered a general 6/4 about Steve Cooper's side collecting three points in the Welsh capital on Sunday but I’m once again going to head to the Bet Builder market to put together a same game multiple.

Combining over over zero Nottingham Forest goals, over two Nottingham Forest corners and each team to receive a card will bring about a 21/20 (Bet 365) angle of attack that makes appeal.

Defensive frailties have been a consistent problem for Cardiff, who have kept just one clean sheet all season – a wretched return that has seen the Bluebirds' brittle backline breached in each of their last 24 English Championship outings.

That does not bode well ahead of a visit from a Nottingham Forest side that have grabbed at least one goal in 16 of their 21 contests across all competitions under the guidance of Steve Cooper.

As such, I'm more than happy to back the side from the City Ground to strike at least once against confidence-stricken Cardiff, but to boost the odds, I'll also throw a minimum of three Forest corners into the mix – a line the visitors have covered in 26 of their 28 tier two tussles this term to date.

With both clubs keen to get points on the board for very different reasons, I'll round off the 21/20 (Bet 365) Bet Builder with each team to receive at least one booking.

Cardiff have been regular card collectors this season, averaging 2.15 yellows per-game, while the Tricky Trees' tally sits at 1.89 per 90, not to mention referee David Webb has dished out a card to both teams in 15 of 19 Championship assignments this season so far.

With all that in mind, coupled with the aforementioned combination clicking in each of Forest's last four fixtures, supporting the same formula on Sunday stands out at 21/20 (Bet 365).

Recommended Bet

  • Over 0 Nottingham Forest Goals
  • Over 2 Nottingham Forest Corners
  • Both Teams Over 0 Cards
  • Bet Builder – 21/20 (Bet 365)

Going to follow this one but add in Cardiff to score as they have scored in every game thus far.
