IT's matchday four in La Liga this midweek and I like the look of a Wednesday night double, as well as a Bet Builder in Serie A.

La Liga

Huesca vs Atletico Madrid (Wednesday 18:00)

Atletico Madrid started their season in style and they will be aiming to make it two wins from two when they travel to Huesca on Wednesday evening.

Diego Simeone's men ruthlessly cut apart Granada in the Spanish capital last Sunday by recording an emphatic 6-1 success, with Luiz Saurez impressing on his debut.

Atleti's first road trip of the season takes them to the Estadio El Alcoraz where they will face newly-promoted Huesca.

Francisco's side have made a quietly impressive start to their campaign by drawing away at both Villareal and Valencia either side of 2-0 defeat at home to Cadiz.

Indeed, those two points should not be sniffed at, however, a clash with a well-schooled Atletico Madrid side should prove a much sterner test for the north-eastern Spanish outfit.

In-form Atleti have avoided defeat across their last 17 La Liga outings and given that this is the type of assignment that the men from Madrid have been particularly efficient in dealing with in recent seasons, I'm going to rely on the visitors for the first half of my Spanish double.

Real Madrid vs Valladolid (Wednesday 20:30)

Real Madrid left it late to land their first win of the season last weekend and they will be looking to make it back-to-back wins when they play host to Valladolid on Wednesday night.

Los Blancos stalwart Sergio Ramos scored a late penalty to edge out Real Betis and the defending champions will be looking to mark their first home fixture of the season with three points this midweek.

Real Valladolid are the first visitors to the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium this term and they will be hard tasked when trying to topple a Real Madrid side who have won each of their last seven La Liga matches at this venue.

What's more, Zinedine Zidane's star-studded side have scored at least two goals in seven of their last eight home matches and such imperious home form does not bode well for a Valladolid outfit who have taken just one point from their last seven Spanish top-flight road trips.

It's also worth mentioning that Sergio's men are winless in their first three matches thus far and I fully expect that sequence to continue in the Spanish capital on Wednesday night.

There is little value in backing an outright home success so I'm going to double up on both Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid to win to give us a backable 10/11 shot with VBet.

Serie A

Benevento vs  (Wednesday 17:00)

Benevento and Inter took maximum points from their opening Serie A assignments but something has to give when both sides meet at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito on Wednesday evening.

Filiipo Inzaghi's newly-promoted side staged a sensational comeback in their curtain-raiser away at Sampdoria when fighting back from a two goal deficit to win 3-2.

Inter, meanwhile, were involved in a seven goal thriller at the San Siro on Saturday night as two goals in the final three minutes secured a dramatic victory for Antonio Conte's star-studded side.

The Nerazzurri have made giant strides under the Italian's stewardship and I fancy them to make it two wins from two when they travel to Benevento this midweek.

Inter are odds-on shots at 1/2 with Bet 365, however, an alternative angle that I like the look when making use of the Bet Builder feature is Inter to score over one goal and Benevento to collect over one card, a combination that pays 10/11 (Bet 365).

Antonio Conte's men racked up more strikes than Juventus last term and it's worth noting the Italian giants have scored two or more goals across each of their last six Serie A road trips.

With deadly strike duo Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku leading the line I'm more than happy to back the visitors to notch at least twice and I suspect Benevento could revert to the dark arts when trying to tame Inter's top-heavy attack.

What's more, referee Francesco Forneau has dished out 21 cards across his last three Serie A assignments – an average of seven cards per-game – all of which adds to the appeal of siding with the above-mentioned Bet Builder.

Recommended Bets

  • Atletico Madrid & Real Madrid To Win (Outright Double) – (10/11, VBet)
  • Inter Over 1 Goal & Benevento Over 1 Card (10/11, Bet 365)
