After landing two winners from two on Wednesday night, SlipsTips shares his favourite fancy from the SPFL on Saturday, with Bonnyrigg Rose's clash with Albion Rovers taking centre stage.
Bonnyrigg Rose vs Albion Rovers (Saturday, 15:00)
Bonnyrigg Rose will be bidding to continue their unbeaten start to the season when they welcome Albion Rovers to New Dundas Park on Saturday.
Robbie Horn’s side have needed no time to adapt to life in the SPFL, having accumulated seven points from a possible nine so far, the most recent of which came courtesy of a last-gasp 2-2 draw at Stranraer.
As such, the Rose remain undefeated in their debut League Two campaign, but they will be keen to return to winning ways against Albion Rovers this weekend.
All of this is a stark contrast to their visitors who are rooted to the bottom of the rankings with zero points following three rounds of fixtures.
The money has started to come for Bonnyrigg who have been chipped into a general 1/2 shots but we can get some 4/5 (SportNation) on them to overcome a -0.75 start on the Asian Handicap and that looks like an enticing angle of attack.
Here we would land a half win if Bonnyrigg Rose win by a solitary strike, whereas a home success by two or more goals would deliver a full pay out.
After storming their way to a historic promotion to the SPFL last season, Bonnyrigg have taken like ducks to water to Scotland’s fourth tier, laying down early markers with comfortable wins over both Forfar and East Fife.
It’s also worth pointing out that Robbie Horn’s side have struck at least twice in each of their three League Two outings to date, not to mention they notched at least once in each of their four Premier Sports Cup contests, one of which was against top-flight Hibernian.
As for Albion Rovers, they are propping up the early season table, having lost each of their three league games so far, as well coming up short in four of their five outings in cup competitions.
With all this in mind, coupled with the fact that the hosts’ two league wins have come via a 2+ goal winning margin, backing Bonnyrigg to cover the the -0/75 Asian handicap holds appeal at 4/5 (SportNation).
