Mohamed Salah 1+ Shot on Target
Mohamed Salah had a quiet game by his own high standards in Paris last week but he should come to the party in front of what will be a passionate Anfield crowd. After taking his tally for the season to 32 with a brace against Southampton on Saturday, look for the Reds ace to register a minimum of one shot on target on Tuesday night.
Salah has averaged 1.25 on-target efforts per 90 across his eight appearances in this season’s Champions League, working the opposition goalkeeper at least once in two of his last three outings on the continent. The Egyptian forward should get ample opportunity to land a shot on target against a PSG side that will have to throw caution to the wind at some point on Tuesday night.
Alexis Mac Allister To Commit 1+ Foul
Moving back the way and into midfield engine room, Alexis Mac Allister looks a prime candidate to commit a minimum of one foul during this week’s second leg. The Liverpool midfielder's love of a strong tackle or a cynical foul often leads to him overstepping the mark. That is evidenced by the fact that Mac Allister is averaging 1.69 fouls per game across both the Premier League and Champions League this season. Expect to see that trend continue here against a PSG team laced with quality in forward areas and need of at least one goal.
Achraf Hakimi 1+ Shot
For the third and final leg of the Bet Builder, I’ll back Achraf Hakimi to attempt one or more shots at Anfield on Tuesday night. The attack-minded right-back often pushes forward to help his team attack, and there will certainly be a need for that here given the dynamics of the tie.
The marauding Moroccan has averaged two shots per game for PSG in this season’s Champions League, attempting multiple efforts on goal in six of his overall 11 appearances thus far, including two against Liverpool last Wednesday night.
