Slipstips Bet Builder Tips

SlipsTips is back with another Bet Builder ahead of Bournemouth's clash with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Thursday night.

AFC Bournemouth vs Tottenham (Thursday, 20:15)

AFC Bournemouth and Tottenham Hotspur go head-to-head at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League on Thursday night.

The Cherries chalked up an eye-catching 4-1 win away at Fulham at the weekend before Spurs slumped to a 1-1 draw at home to Fulham.

I’ve already penned a separate match preview on this south coast contest and I’m now going to examine the Bet Builder market.

Yves Bissouma To Commit 1+ Foul

For the first leg of the Bet Builder, look to Yves Bissouma to commit at least one foul on Thursday night. The tough-tackling midfielder has started each of Tottenham’s last three Premier League assignments and has given away a minimum of one free-kick in all three of those matches. In fact, Bissouma was guilty of three offences against Fulham last time out, not to mention he committed multiple fouls and received a yellow card during Spurs’ 4-0 mauling of Man City just under a fortnight ago.

The Spurs midfield schemer could be tasked with keeping tabs on Bournemouth's Justin Kluivert. The Cherries’ hat-trick hero from the weekend has drawn a foul from the opposition in five of his last six Premier League outings.

Ryan Christie To Commit 1+ Foul

Elsewhere in the midfield battleground, I’m going with Bournemouth’s Ryan Christie to commit one or more fouls during this match-up. The Scotland international isn’t afraid to do the dirty work when required, evidenced by the fact that he has already served a suspension this season for accumulating five yellow cards.

That card count has coincided with Christie averaging 1.5 fouls per-game in the Premier League this season, falling foul of the referee in 10 of his 12 top-flight outings this term to date. He will likely be operating in the same areas of the field as Tottenham livewire Dejan Kulusevski on Thursday night, who has a habit of winning his side free-kicks.

Dejan Kulusevski To Be Fouled 1 Or More Times

That leads me nicely onto my third and final selection which is to side with the aforementioned Kulusevski to be fouled once or more on Thursday night. The classy Swedish playmaker has drawn an average of 1.33 fouls per 90 in the Premier League this season so far.

Drill deeper and you’ll notice that Kulusevski has earned the capital club a free-kick in all but one of his 13 Premier League appearances this season, including two against Fulham last time out despite featuring for just 22 minutes as a substitute. As such, I’m more than happy to side with the Spurs ace to be on the receiving end of another foul at the Vitality Stadium this midweek.

 Recommended Bet

  • Yves Bissouma To Commit 1+ Foul
  • Ryan Christie To Commit 1+ Foul
  • Dejan Kulusevski To Be Fouled 1 or More Times
  • Bet Builder – 1/1 (Betfair)
