SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder double ahead of Kilmarnock's Scottish Premiership clash with Celtic on Sunday afternoon.
Kilmarnock vs Celtic (Sunday, 15:00)
Kilmarnock and Celtic will round off this weekend’s Scottish Premiership action when they square off at Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon.
Stuart Kettlewell's hosts will be looking to snap a run of four successive draws in the Scottish top-flight, while Celtic will be looking to get back on track following a 0-0 draw with Rangers.
I’ve already penned a separate match preview on this clash but I’m now going to go into more detail in regards to the recommended Bet Builder.
Over 5 Celtic Corners
For the first half of what will be a Bet Builder double, I’m going with Celtic to earn a minimum of six corners at Rugby Park on Sunday afternoon. As has long been the case for a number of years now, Celtic have been delivering high corner kick counts across the opening stretch of the season. In fact, Brendan Rodgers’ side have averaged 7.25 corners per game in this season’s Scottish Premiership, covering the 6+ flag kick line in three of their opening four league games of the season.
It’s also worth pointing out that Celtic have hit double digits on the corner front in two of their four league games this season (12 & 10). On top of that, the Hoops hit 16 and 15 corners in their respective home games with Falkirk and Kairat Almaty last month.
As for Kilmarnock, they had to defend no fewer than nine corners when drawing 2-2 away at Motherwell last time out.
Over 1 Kilmarnock Card
I’ll conclude the selection with a minimum of two Kilmarnock cards. Killie have been one of the more card-heavy teams during the early weeks of the new Scottish Premiership season, averaging three yellow cards per game.
Stuart Kettlewell's side have been shown two or more cards in each of their four top-flight outings this term, most notably collecting five yellow cards away at Motherwell before the international break. The Ayrshire club also picked up two bookings during their Scottish League Cup round of 16 victory over Dundee United last month.
Celtic should dominate possession on Sunday, which should coincide with the visitors drawing plenty of fouls from their hosts. That was certainly the case during the Hoops’ previous two league games away from home this season, with both Aberdeen and Rangers receiving 2+ cards.
