Continental supremacy is at stake in Bratislava on Saturday night, as England go up against Germany in the final of the U21 European Championships.
The Young Lions kept their hopes of retaining the under-21 trophy alive with a 2-1 win over the Netherlands on Wednesday evening.
As for Germany, they reached Saturday night’s showpiece in style after sweeping aside France 3-0 at the semi-final stage.
Each Team 3+ Corners
For the first half of what is a pre-built Bet Builder double that can be found in Sky Bet’s corners or cards markets, I’ll back both teams to earn a minimum of three corners on Saturday night.
England have been among the most prolific corner takers in the tournament to date, averaging six flag kicks per game. In doing so, Lee Carsley’s side have covered the 3+ corner line in each of their five assignments en route to the final, hitting seven in their previous clash with Germany.
While the Germans have not earned corners with the same frequency as England thus far, they have averaged in the region of 3.5 per 90 up until this juncture, making them worthy of support to continue in that vein in Saturday night’s final.

In what promises to be a keenly-contested final, I’m more than happy to back both teams to receive a minimum of one card. England have been shown at least one yellow card in each of their five matches so far, including three during their quarter-final success over Spain last Saturday.
As for Germany, they shared six cards with France last time out, not to mention a whopping 11 yellows and two reds were dished out during what was a badly-tempered quarter-final clash with Italy last Sunday night.
It’s also worth noting that this Bet Builder would have paid out in each of England’s last two matches at this summer’s European Championships, and that only adds to the appeal of supporting the same formula in the Slovakian capital on Saturday night.
On top of all that, referee Sander van der Eijk has averaged a shade under four cards per 90 across all competitions this season, and the Dutch whistler should be kept busy in a game of this magnitude.
