SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of Chelsea's clash with Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup final on Sunday night.
Chelsea vs PSG (Sunday, 20:00)
Global supremacy is at stake at MetLife Stadium on Sunday night, as Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain contest the Club World Cup final.
After ending their domestic season with a Europa Conference League triumph, the Blues are now bidding to add more silverware to their trophy cabinet.
As for PSG, they are looking to complete a historic quadruple following their exploits both domestically and on the continent this term.
Each Team 3+ Corners
For the first leg of what is a pre-made Bet Builder double on Sky Bet, I’m backing both teams to earn a minimum of three corners. Each of these two European giants have been amongst the most prolific flag kick takers in this summer’s revamped tournament.
Chelsea have averaged a sizable 6.67 corners per 90 en route to Sunday night’s showpiece. Dig a little deeper and it can be seen that Enzo Maresca’s men have covered the 3+ corner line in each of their six outings so far, most notably racking up 10 against Benfica.
As for PSG, they have posted an average of 5.34 corners per game to date, only failing to deliver three or more flag kicks against Bayern Munich, which can be attributed to the fact that they received two red cards during that contest.
Each Team 1+ Card
Speaking of cards, I’m also more than happy to side with each team to collect a minimum of one booking during Sunday night's final in New Jersey.
Chelsea have shown that they have a lack of discipline in their ranks on their way to securing a place in the final, with just two other teams receiving more yellow cards than the Blues (13) so far. What’s more, the capital club have also picked up one red card along the way. That has all coincided with Chelsea's opening six games of the tournament producing an average of 5.17 cards per game.
While PSG’s games have not been as card-heavy, both teams went into the book during the French giants' clashes with both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid respectively.
As for the man in the middle on Sunday night, Alireza Faghani will have the whistle at MetLife Stadium. The Australian official has flashed 13 cards across the three contests that he has taken charge of at this summer's Club World Cup, dishing out a card to both teams in each of those three matches.
It's also worth noting that this Bet Builder would have paid out in each of Chelsea’s last two matches at the Club World Cup, as well as PSG’s semi-final win over Real Madrid, all of which adds to the appeal of supporting the same formula again on Sunday night.
