Slipstips Bet Builder Tips

SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s clash with Bayern Munich at the Club World Cup on Saturday evening.

PSG vs Bayern Munich (Saturday, 17:00)

Going toe-to-toe in an all-European clash at the Club World Cup, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich will battle it out for a spot in the semi-finals on Saturday evening.

PSG swept aside Inter Miami 4-0 in the previous round, while Bayern Munich claimed a 4-2 win over Flamengo.

The victor of this heavyweight showdown will lock horns with either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund in the last four.

Over 0 PSG Goals

For the first selection of what is a three-legged Bet Builder, I’ll back PSG to score at least once on Saturday evening. Luis Enrique’s side have scored 10 times across their four Club World Cup matches so far, hitting four goals against both Inter Miami and Atletico Madrid. It’s also worth mentioning that the Parisians scored in nine of their final 10 Champions League matches of the season, most notably racking up five strikes when brilliantly dismantling Inter Milan in the final.

While Bayern Munich also carry plenty of attacking threat of their own, they have looked shaky at the back on their journey to the quarter-finals, with their only clean sheet coming against part-timers Auckland City.

Nuno Mendes to Commit 1+ Foul

Next up it’s a player-based selection in the shape of Nuno Mendes to commit a minimum of one foul. The PSG left-back has been one of the standout players in Europe this season, however he can expect a tough test against Michael Olise on Saturday evening. The classy Bayern Munich forward was fouled five times against Flamengo last time out, not to mention he earned his side a couple of free-kicks against Boca Juniors on matchday two.

The aforementioned Mendes made multiple misdemeanours against Atletico Madrid during PSG’s opening match of the competition, while he was also guilty of one offence against Seattle Sounders.

Both Teams to Receive a Card

With a keenly-contested quarter-final tie anticipated, I’ll wrap up the Bet Builder by backing both teams to receive a card. Both of these European powerhouses have been involved in relatively card-happy encounters en route to the last-eight, with PSG’s matches averaging 3.5 cards per game, while Bayern's tally is marginally higher at 4.0.

In fact, the German giants shared nine cards with Flamengo last time out, so a booking apiece should be well within range at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

What’s more, referee Anthony Taylor has flashed seven and five cards in the two matches that he has already taken charge of at this year's revamped Club World Cup, with both teams receiving a card in each of those two respective contests.
