Sky Super 6 challenge

We already see a number of bookmakers offering punters some great prizes for correctly guessing six scores in upcoming Premier League games.

With that in mind, we have decided to take up the Skybet Super 6 Challenge.

Here are this week's selections.

Our Skybet Super 6 Challenge predictions

Brentford vs Nottingham Forest

Brentford have been outstanding at home this season, boasting a record of W7-D1-L0. Remarkably, both teams have scored in all eight of their home matches, with over 2.5 goals landing in seven of those. Their games at the Gtech Community Stadium have been goal-filled, with a total of 40 goals across their eight fixtures—an average of five goals per game.

Their opponents, Nottingham Forest, have also impressed as a surprise package in the Premier League this season, with a record of W4-D2-L2. Their only defeats came against Manchester City and Arsenal, two of the league’s toughest sides. While Brentford’s home record is exceptional, it may be unsustainable, especially considering their underlying metrics. Despite their strong results, they sit only eighth in the league for home expected points and rank 15th for xG ratio at home, conceding an average of 1.55 xGA per game.

Forest, on the other hand, have the fourth-best xPTS on the road this season, indicating they could pose a serious threat to Brentford’s perfect home record.

Ipswich vs Newcastle

Despite only winning twice this season, Ipswich have been competitive in nearly all of their matches. They were unlucky to lose to Bournemouth in their most recent outing at Portman Road but have managed to score in five of their eight home games.

Newcastle’s defensive struggles away from home continue to be an issue, having conceded in 25 of their last 27 Premier League away matches winning only eight of these games. Their road form this campaign has been mixed, with just two wins—a 2-1 victory over Wolves and an impressive 3-1 win at Nottingham Forest. Notably, they conceded four goals in a loss at Brentford last time out.

Ipswich will be buoyed by their dramatic last-minute winner against relegation rivals Wolves in their previous match and have the chance to achieve back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time in 22 years.

  • Score 2-1 at 13.00 with Skybet

West Ham vs Brighton

West Ham have won three of their last five home matches, although two of those victories came against teams in the bottom three. Their other win was a controversial one over Manchester United, secured by a questionable late penalty. Statistically, West Ham rank 16th for xPTS and 17th for non-penalty xG ratio, with only three teams conceding a higher xGA this season.

Brighton, meanwhile, have an away record of W3-D2-L3, showcasing their inconsistency on the road. They have scored in every away game this season but have only managed two clean sheets. Given the defensive vulnerabilities of both sides, a low-scoring draw with both teams finding the net seems a likely outcome.

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal

These two sides met in the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup earlier this week, with Arsenal edging out a 3-2 victory. The Gunners needed to call on key players late in the game to secure the win after falling behind early. Arsenal struggled during a lean spell when Martin Odegaard was sidelined, but they are now unbeaten in their last six matches. However, their away form has been inconsistent, with a record of W3-D3-L2, which could make this a tricky encounter.

Crystal Palace, after a slow start to the season where they failed to win any of their first eight matches, have found their rhythm. They have now lost just once in their last eight games, including impressive victories over Brighton, Ipswich, and Spurs. Despite this resurgence, Palace have only managed one home win all season, and Arsenal’s overall quality is likely to prove too much for them.

  • Score 1-2 at 7.50 with Skybet

Fulham vs Southampton

Southampton are in serious trouble and look at risk of finishing with the lowest points total in Premier League history. Their record of W1-D2-L13 has seen them concede an average of 2.25 goals per game. Their defensive struggles have been particularly dire recently, with 11 goals conceded in their last three league matches, including heavy defeats to Chelsea and Tottenham. Even in their narrow 1-0 loss to Aston Villa, Southampton were thoroughly outplayed, losing the shot count 18-4 and the xG battle 2.29 to 0.33.

Fulham, by contrast, have been strong at Craven Cottage, losing just twice at home this season. They have registered impressive wins against Leicester, Newcastle, Brentford, and Brighton, and held Arsenal to a 1-1 draw in their last home outing. They rank fourth in the league for xPTS at home, while Southampton sit 19th overall.

Until Southampton appoint a permanent manager and address their defensive issues, it is hard to see their fortunes improving. They have scored just once in their last four away matches, but Fulham have yet to keep a clean sheet at home this season. This makes it likely that both teams could find the net, though Fulham are expected to edge this contest.

Tottenham vs Liverpool

Spurs have been one of the Premier League's most inconsistent sides this season, with a record of seven wins and seven losses. At home, their struggles are clear—they have managed just one clean sheet and are winless in their last three matches at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Defensive injuries are piling up, with both centre-backs sidelined and key defensively minded midfielders also unavailable.

Despite their defensive issues, Spurs possess enough attacking quality to trouble Liverpool, especially given the Reds' recent defensive vulnerabilities. Liverpool have conceded at least twice in each of their last three away matches. This matchup has all the ingredients for a high-scoring affair, but Liverpool's consistency gives them the edge. The Reds have suffered just one defeat in 24 matches across all competitions this season and are likely to come out on top.

  • Score 1-3 at 11.0 with Skybet

The total odds for all six games are a massive 611,325 with Skybet, which may be worth a £1 stake for some fun, I am keen to back both Arsenal and Fulham to win 2-1 and these two games combined give you odds of 60.0 with Skybet.
