Desmond

I'VE been telling Desmond he needs to change his name to Desmond one-2s and he's taken it in good heart.

Our new tipster has started off with two single wins out of four 2+ goals selections but clever staking means he's only lost 0.17pts.

Nevertheless he's keen to land the double and is hoping to do so at his third attempt.

Desmond says: Gents, the two teams I like the look of this week have both adjusted to their respective leagues quicker than I thought after relegation last season.

First up are a Burnley side at home to Reading. Burnley are on a decent run even though they drew a blank away to Derby last time out.

Home wins against MK Dons, Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford and an away win at Bristol City, scoring eight in the process, makes the 5-4 (Skybet and others) on Burnley 2+ goals appealing.

Next up are a Wigan side settling into League One after a slow start. Wigan make the short journey to a struggling Oldham side with nine goals conceded in their last four while Wigan have netted in their previous four. Wigan to score 2+ goals is a tempting 11-8.

Desmond's Two 2s

1pt Burnley to score 2+ (5-4)
1pt Wigan to score 2+ (11-8)
0.5pt Double pays 4.3 at Skybet

    Gotta think about the fact that Andre Gray is a major doubt for the game against reading. Once he left the pitch, we lacked pace up top and implemented a second target man in Rouwen Hennings alongside Sam Vokes. Both struggled to hold the ball on the halfway line and the game turned very one sided in Derbys favour, we lacked any creativity in midfield and only nearly scored trying to capitalise on some major Derby defensive mistakes. I would be very cautious before backing Burnley to score 2 or more goals as team news will be crucial in this one in my opinion.

    Found no further news on Andre Gray, no Burnley fan wants to see his minor hamstring injury develop into something more serious so I think at best he will command a place on the bench. Gonna take a look into Birmingham, thanks for the advice. Hope the goals rocket in for you Desmond both for your bet and my enjoyment :)

    Posted these for Saturday but didn’t want to clog up Des’ thread with my own tips. Take a look if you like.

    Saturday

    Bayern Munich – Bundesliga – 2:30PM
    Ajax – Eredivise – 6:45PM

    Over 1.5 Team Goals Double @ 1.91 @ Boyles – 3 points

    Add;

    NYRB – MLS – 12:00AM
    Manchester United – Premier League – 3:00PM
    PSV – Eredivisie – 7:45PM

    Over 1.5 Team Goals Fivefold @ 4.78 @ Boyles – 1 point

    Other teams I had down were as follows;

    Utrecht – Eredivisie (top goalscorer suspended)
    Dundalk – Ireland Premier
    Basel – Swiss Super League
    Toronto – MLS (have been awful recently but Chicago played midweek in Montreal and haven’t kept a clean sheet away from home for over a year)

    Good luck if you take any picks.

      dan1eL, new site will be up and running hopefully next week so we’re adding nothing at the moment.
      Jordan can create his own threads when we add the new forum.
