THE UCL takes centre stage on Tuesday night but there are also plenty of domestic matches for punters to look at including the English Championship, National league and one match from the Scottish Premiership.
Hibernian travel to manager Jack Ross's old club St Mirren and I don't see the Hibee's showing the struggling saints any mercy as they look to kick on from impressive 4-1 and 3-1 victories.
I'll also be on my favourite total goals market in the English National League and the 6 UCL games at 8pm
St Mirren v Hibernian (KO 7.45pm)
I confidently backed Hibs on Saturday to give new boss Jack Ross a winning start and they did exactly that with a fine 3-1 at home to high flying Motherwell to land 13/10 and 27/20 winners.
It's clear Hibs have the basis of a really good squad and from an attacking sense they are starting to look more like the side we expect them to be like, especially with Kamberi back to his best after a frustrating year.
Going forward they scored 4 away to St Johnstone and 3 against a very good Motherwell side – tonight they travel to play a St Mirren side who will likely occupy one of the bottom 3 places for the remainder of the season.
They did get a valuable 3 points on Saturday with a last minute winner against fellow strugglers Ross County but this will be much tougher.
To be fair to St Mirren, their home form has been very impressive with just one defeat and even more impressive is their defensive record with just two goals conceded. All 11 points they have collected this season have come at home and they'll be keen to leverage that home form but when you dig a bit deeper, this is probably as tough a home game they've had.
They beat an Aberdeen side at the start of the season who had a European hangover, goalless draws against struggling Hearts and Hamilton, a defeat of a St Johnstone side who were in awful form and winless and they have just beaten a Ross County side who have collected just 2 points from their last 6 games.
That's not to discredit St Mirren, I just feel they've played teams at the right time and this is the first time since Rangers they've played a side high in confidence and who'll still be riding the crest of a wave since Jack Ross's appointment.
Hibs have now scored 2 or more goals in 5 consecutive matches and whilst the jury is still out on them defensively, Allen, Doige, Kamberi and co will cause the St Mirren rear-guard serious problems. St Mirren's defensive strength at home won't last forever.
Hibs look a big price to score two goals – this will be the 4th time this season I've backed them to score two, they've yet to let me down
Recommended Bet:
- Hibernian to score 2+ goals
- 11/8 (Skybet) (NAP)
UCL Total Goals – 6 matches (8pm)
- 20+ goals to be scored
- 10/11 (Skybet)
English National League Total Goals – 12 matches (7.45pm)
- 32+ goals to be scored
- 4/5 (Skybet)
- 34+ goals to be scored
- 11/8 (Skybet)
Good morning. Will it be right if i give Hibs to win at FT ? Thanks.
Possibly, it’s not a certainty by any means. Not sure how the Jack Ross factor will play out.
On paper Hibs are the better team but St Mirren are decent at home and it’s just as well as they have no points away.
Hi Greg
Would you consider doing a bet builder challenge over the next few weeks? As really like your tipping.
Yeah its something I might look at doing – we are also starting a weekly accumulator on the Gambla betting podcast
28 goals in 1st half of English games 😁
