KevinMac returns with his weekly column featuring his best bets in Scotland this weekend.

THERE’S one last Premiership push today before the World Cup and clubs will be desperate to send their fans into the break on a high.

All six matches are being held this afternoon and some managers will be desperate to change the mood music with the punters far from happy.

St Mirren vs Rangers

Giovanni van Bronckhorst eased some of the pressure with a midweek win over Hearts but if Rangers slip up against St Mirren it will intensify calls for him to replaced during Qatar 2022.

Gers were shocked by the Perth Saints on their last road trip and now the Paisley version will fancy their chances of claiming another famous scalp.

Stephen Robinson’s men have already beaten Celtic in Paisley but their form hasn’t been great since then, with just two wins in their last seven matches.

St Mirren have taken just a point from their last three games so that’s why Rangers are McBookie’s 2/5 hot favourites.

I fancy van Bronckhorst’s men to get the job done and they will welcome the chance for a reset during the World Cup with so many players out injured.

But the Buddies have the firepower to make it a difficult afternoon for Rangers, having scored six times in their last four games despite that poor run of results.

It’s easy to see where the problem is for Robinson as his side have conceded 12 times in their last six matches.

Four of those goals came in a defeat at Ibrox so that’s why over 2.5 goals is just 8/11 with Bet365 but BTTS is better at 20/21 with McBookie.

I backed Gers in the corner handicap against St Johnstone and that bet was safe well before half-time before it finally ended up 20-0 on that count.

Van Bronckhorst’s men won another seven against Hearts in midweek so I’ll be backing them in that market again with St Mirren likely to defend deep.

Rangers -3 in the handicap is priced 20/21 by Bet365 and that looks great value while Unibet have over 7.5 Gers corners at a tempting 11/10.

Kilmarnock vs Hibs

Lee Johnson is another manager coming under fire from the stands after losing five of his last six matches at Hibs.

Three of their first four games after the break are against the Old Firm and Hearts so it’s vital the Hibees halt their slide away to rock-bottom Kilmarnock.

But things could get a lot worse on the plastic pitch at Rugby Park and plenty of punters will fancy backing Killie at 21/10 with McBookie.

Terrible away form is the reason why Derek McInnes’ men are propping up the table and they crashed 4-0 at Tannadice last time out.

But Celtic and Livingston are the only teams to have won at Rugby Park so far this season so Kilmarnock will fancy their chances against this fragile Hibs side.

With both sides in desperate need of a victory it could be a fraught affair with chances at a premium.

That makes the half-time draw a good option at 21/20 with McBookie while the same firm price a one-goal winning margin for either side at 5/4. Five yellows and a red were flashed when these  Teams faced off at Easter Road earlier in the season so it could be another busy day for the ref.

Ash Taylor and Ryan Porteous both love an industrial challenge and the Killie stopper is 8/5 for a card with Bet365 who price his Hibs counterpart at 7/4.

Celtic vs Ross County

Ross County piled on the pain for Johnson with a win at Easter Road as they moved out of the drop zone in midweek.

But the Staggies are 40/1 rank outsiders with Coral for a third victory on the spin today as they head to Celtic Park.

The Hoops were poor in midweek but still had enough firepower to win 2-1 at Motherwell and stay seven points clear at the top.

Ange Postecoglou’s rotation has kept them fresh during a demanding schedule so expect more changes today.

Ladbrokes price over 1.5 first-half goals at 21/20 and that looks good as it has landed in Celtic’s last four home games in the league.

Aberdeen vs Dundee Utd

Aberdeen will be out to avenge their 4-0 loss at Tannadice when Dundee United come calling.

The Dons have been brilliant at home but United also hit four in midweek so I fancy BTTS in this one at evens with William Hill.

St Johnstone are unbeaten in four as they host Motherwell so the Perth men look good value at 13/8 with Betfred.

Livingston head to Hearts and I’m going for over 4.5 cards at 11/10 with Bet365 as six yellows were flashed when the Jambos lost 1-0 at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
