STARTING from this week followers of MrFixitsTips can get the inside knowledge on what is happening in the Scottish Football League thanks to this new weekly column by Joe Wallace.

And more importantly I will be giving punters what will hopefully be a winning treble each week.

Kicking us off this weekend is the First Division and we focus on Falkirk’s home match with Morton.

Steven Pressley’s men have not enjoyed the best of seasons and lost back-to-back games against Partick Thistle and Dundee.

In their last outing a fortnight ago, they travelled to face league leaders Raith Rovers in Kirkcaldy knowing a defeat could end their title dream at such an early stage of the season. But Pressley’s boys pulled out all the stops and earned what could be a crucial win.

And I reckon they will take that boost into this weekend’s clash with a Cappielow side they beat 2-1 the last time the sides met and must be backed to triumph (8-11, Skybet and totesport).

In Division Two Brechin play host to Peterhead and can keep their title hopes alive by winning.

City go into the match nine points ahead of the Blue Toon having played three games less than Neale Cooper’s men.

And after thrashing Head 5-0 and 4-2 already this season should be taken to win again (8-11, bet365).

Moving on to the Third Division and Stranraer had been going strongly at the top before defeats to Elgin and Arbroath saw the Gayfield men leapfrog them into pole position.

But last weekend in the Scottish Cup the Blues gave a decent account of themselves before going down to a 2-0 defeat at home to SPL side Motherwell.

Keith Knox’s troops took plenty of positives from the match against Well and will look to get back to winning ways against Montrose.

I can’t see anything other than a home win for the Stair Park men (8-13, bet365, 888sport) and they complete this weekend’s SFL treble.

PS. Stranraer’s towering striker Armand One has scored three times in his last three  matches and must be worth a punt on being first scorer or even anytime scorer for the Blues. He is 9-2 with McBookie.com to bag the opener. And remember McBookie.com offer first scorer prices on all SFL matches.

Good luck!!
