Today’s betting tips will feature a mix of ATP and WTA matches, with some exciting tennis going down this Saturday. The WTA Finals reaches its climax, one that surprisingly doesn’t feature either Aryna Sabalenka or Iga Swiatek, while over on the ATP Tour, it’s finals time in Metz as well. Both will be intriguing clashes, so read on for our predictions.
Best tennis tips and predictions today
Our first prediction is that Coco Gauff will win the WTA Finals in a stunning turn of events. Over in Metz, we’re backing Cameron Norrie to win and cap off a great comeback to the Tour.
Gauff to defeat Zheng @ 1/2
Gauff has played amazing tennis so far at the WTA Finals to find herself in the final. Nobody saw it coming, because nobody saw Gauff beating her demons to overcome players like Sabalenka and Swiatek.
She bested Sabalenka in the semi-final to book her spot in the final and Swiatek in the group stage, so she’s really playing superb tennis. Zheng is playing strong tennis as well and she’s been doing so for a very long time.
The problem for the Chinese player is the fact that Gauff is the perfect antidote for how she plays. She’s basically a mini-Sabalenka, and Gauff knows how to play against those players: force them to hit one more shot.
If Zheng doesn’t play a clean match she’ll be in trouble and likely get beaten. That’s what we’re backing here because Gauff pulled it off two times already this week.
If she was good enough to beat Sabalenka and Swiatek she is surely good enough to beat Zheng. She already beat her in the past leading the overall matchup 1-0.
Norrie to defeat Bonzi @ 10/11
Norrie is the better player here which is part of why we’re backing him to win. The second thing about this matchup is that the British player seems a bit more stable than Benjamin Bonzi.
Sure, Bonzi can be tremendously tough to play against but he can also be all over the place. We’ll favour stability indoors because it’s a court where the details mostly determine which player will win the match.
Norrie has performed pretty well so far, winning a couple of tough matches. Bonzi has done so as well but again it comes down to his streakiness. We don’t doubt that he might win a set but overall we still favour Norrie to beat Bonzi in a best of three match.
Norrie is simply the better player and we think when it comes down to it, he will show that and win the match. They haven’t played so far so as much as Bonzi could surprise, that’s the truth for Norrie as well.
