Rangers survived an Athens storm in midweek to keep their Champions League dream alive and it's now down to domestic business as they kick off the SPFL Premiership campaign at Fir Park today.
Russell Martin deserves a lot of credit for getting his new-look side past Panathinaikos in Europe, even though Rangers rode their luck in both legs.
But the fans crave a domestic title more than anything else and today's opener away to Motherwell is a potential banana skin after a tough trip to Greece.
Motherwell vs Rangers top betting tips
Motherwell are also under new management and new boss Jens Bethel Askou had a few teething troubles in the League Cup groups, drawing 2-2 with Clyde before grinding out narrow wins over Peterhead and Stenhousemuir.
Despite easing to a 3-0 win over Morton in their final game, the Steelmen are 5/1 outsiders today, with Rangers the 4/11 hot favourites at BoyleSports.
Martin's insistence on playing out from the back handed plenty of chances of Panathinaikos across the two legs so going for goals at both ends could pay off today.
Combining BTTS and over 2.5 goals only takes you to 10/11 at BoyleSports but a Rangers win with both teams to score is better at 8/5.
Nico Raskin is playing in a more advanced role under Martin, with new boy Joe Rothwell anchoring the midfield. He should get a few sights of goal so I like the 29/20 on offer at Coral for the Belgian to have an effort on target.
Kilmarnock vs Livingston
Before action gets underway at Fir Park this evening, the SPFL Premiership gets underway with a 3pm kick-off between Kilmarnock and Livingston.
This is a repeat of the League Cup group stage fixture a few weeks ago, with Killie emerging as 1-0 victors to strike an early psychological blow.
But it was Livingston who dominated that game and they joined Killie in qualifying for the last 16 by winning their other three games in the group, including a 6-0 thrashing of Kelty Hearts last weekend.
So the Lions could be worth a punt at generous odds of 14/5 at BoyleSports, with David Martindale recruiting well after sealing promotion via the play-offs.
I'm going to play it a bit safer and back Livingston at 23/20 in the one goal ahead market, which pays out if they take the lead at any point.
We only saw one goal in that League Cup encounter so betting against BTTS might also pay off at evens with BoyleSports.
Cardiff City vs Peterborough United
Cardiff City's quest for promotion back to the Championship begins today and they have a tricky opener at home to Peterborough United.
This is the first time the Bluebirds have been out of the top two divisions since 2003 so the fans will be desperate to make sure their stay in the third tier is a brief one.
BoyleSports make them 1/2 favourites for a home win this afternoon against a Peterborough side who finished down in 18th place last term, just five points above the drop zone.
Peterborough conceded 81 goals last term, with only relegated Crawley Town shipping more in League One, but also netted 68 times, a tally bettered by just six other teams.
So going for goals looks a smart move here and combining BTTS with over 2.5 strikes pays evens at BoyleSports.
With Posh so leaky at the back, it could also pay to back Cardiff to score in both halves at 6/5 with the same firm.
