England fans are dreaming of World Cup glory after their epic win over Mexico but they'll need to get past Erling Haaland and Norway tonight to book a place in the semi-finals.
That last-16 clash at the Azteca was fraught with danger for the Three Lions but they dug deep to claim a 3-2 win with 10 men against the co-hosts.
The draw has opened up nicely for Thomas Tuchel's side but the Norwegians certainly won't be pushovers after beating Brazil 2-0 in their last outing.
England vs Norway top betting tips
Norway won all eight of their World Cup qualifiers and their only slip so far at the finals came against favourites France when boss Stale Solbakken rested most of his big hitters.
So I'm not sure I would have England as short as 4/9 to reach the semis on the World Cup betting apps, with Norway a tempting 7/4 in the same market with Bet365.
This one could go either way and it could all come down to which of the big-name strikers has the biggest impact.
Erling Haaland has scored in his last 14 games for Norway and has seven to his name at the World Cup so he looks a bit overpriced at 6/5 for anytime scorer.
Harry Kane has netted six times at the finals and his tally for club and country this season now stands at an incredible 73.
The Bayern Munich ace is just 5/6 for another goal but I'm more drawn to the evens on offer for him to have over 1.5 efforts on target. Doubling that up with the same bet for Haaland pays 12/5.
Argentina vs Switzerland
Argentina's title defence at the 2026 World Cup has been a rollercoaster ride but they'll be hoping for a smoother passage into the semi-finals when they take on Switzerland.
After easing through their group, the knockout stages have been a rude awakening for Lionel Messi and Co, with Cape Verde and Egypt coming close to springing a shock.
Argentina won both those games 3-2 but they rode their luck against the Egyptians, having trailed 2-0 with just 11 minutes to go.
Star man Messi has been their inspiration so far, netting eight times, and he also provided his first assist against the Egyptians.
I backed him to set up one in that game and I'm going for the same bet again as Messi has been taking all the free-kicks and corners. He's 9/4 for an assist this time with Bet365.
With a semi-final place up for grabs this one has the potential to get a bit spicy and over 3.5 cards pays 11/10 with Bet365.
Dumbarton vs St Mirren
The new season kicks off in Scotland today and the pick of the League Cup group games sees holders St Mirren get their defence of the trophy underway with a trip to Dumbarton.
It was a strange campaign for the Buddies as they shocked Celtic at Hampden to lift silverware then lost manager Stephen Robinson to Aberdeen and ended up fighting against relegation.
Interim boss Craig McLeish only just kept them up, beating Partick Thistle in the play-off final, so I was a bit surprised when he landed the gig permanently.
McLeish is trying to implement a possession-based gameplan and St Mirren should be an interesting watch this term now he has been given the chance to stamp his mark on the squad.
We could see a few goals with their bolder attacking approach and combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals pays just 5/6 today.
That's not great value so I'm going to back St Mirren to win both halves, which pays 5/4. They might be a little rusty but the Buddies should have too much class for League Two opposition.
