Saturday’s football tips: Cherries could be sweet in the double chance

Bournemouth have been one of the surprise packages of the Premier League season but face the ultimate test today as league leaders Liverpool come calling.

The Cherries are in the thick of the fight for a top-four finish thanks to a stunning run of form that has seen them go 12 games without defeat in all competitions.

Andoni Iraola's men have smashed nine goals past Newcastle and Nottingham Forest in their last two outings but now take on the Premier League's meanest defence as Arne Slot's Reds roll into town.

I'm a little surprised to see Liverpool as short as 8/13 with BoyleSports given the run Bournemouth have been on and the Cherries look decent value at 6/5 in the double chance market.

There's a big game at the foot of the table as Ipswich Town look to get out of their tailspin by beating rock-bottom Southampton.

Today they take on a Southampton side with just one Premier League victory all season so Ipswich appeal at evens with home advantage.

Hibernian vs Aberdeen top betting tips

Aberdeen's horror slump in the SPFL Premiership shows no sign of slowing and they now head to Easter Road to face a Hibs side who are flying.

The Dons raced out of the blocks under new boss Jimmy Thelin and were challenging Celtic at the top but they've now gone 13 league games without a win.

Hibernian, in stark contrast, have lost just once in their last 12 in all competitions and that defeat came at Celtic Park.
