Rangers romped it in the Champions League qualifiers on Tuesday and will now be looking to spark their SPFL Premiership title bid into life when Dundee come to Ibrox tonight.

Russell Martin ripped into his players after a dismal 1-1 draw with Motherwell last week and made the bold decision to drop skipper James Tavernier and star player Nico Raskin for the clash with Viktoria Plzen.

But the response was terrific as his side eased to a 3-0 win over the Czechs and confidence will now be up for the visit of a Dundee side who look in terrible shape under their new manager Steven Pressley.

Rangers vs Dundee top betting tips

Much was made of the decision to axe Tavernier and Raskin but it was two other changes from Martin that actually made all the difference against Plzen.

Oliver Antman's introduction for a quick-fire debut gave Rangers a massive threat down the right flank and the restored Cyriel Dessers did a much better job of leading the line than Danilo.

With another new signing, Djeidi Gassama, also impressing on the left, Martin now has a balanced attack that looks really threatening. That doesn't bode well for a Dundee side who lost twice to lower-league teams in the League Cup group stage and suffered a home defeat to Hibs in their Premiership opener.

Martin's side are 1/7 favourites at BoyleSports so it's hard finding value but backing them at -2 in the handicap pays a decent 11/10.

The only thing missing from Antman's debut in midweek was a goal and the Finn is 7/4 at BoyleSports to get off the mark this evening.

St Mirren vs Motherwell

Motherwell impressed last weekend against Rangers but now have a tough game on the road against St Mirren in the SPFL Premiership.

New Fir Park boss Jens Berthel Askou has his side playing some nice football and they more than merited their point against Rangers after dominating the second half.

Chances will be thinner on the ground against a well-drilled St Mirren defence, though, with the Buddies coming within a few minutes of shutting out champions Celtic in their opener.

Their steel could trump Motherwell's style so the Buddies look worth a punt at evens for the win with home advantage in Paisley.

These sides only picked up one yellow card each last weekend despite having tough defensive shifts against the Old Firm. That makes me think combining under 4.5 cards with no card before 30 minutes could pay off at 6/4 with Bet365.

Southampton vs Wrexham

The Wrexham fairytale continues today as the Welsh side kick off their EFL Championship campaign against Southampton at St Mary's.

The documentary crew following Wrexham since the Ryan Reynolds/Rob McElhenney takeover couldn't have asked for a better script with the club winning three successive promotions.

It would be some story if they made it four in a row to reach the Premier League but that doesn't look likely as every game this season will be a big step up in class.

Relegated Southampton will be out to show Wrexham how far they still have to come and BoyleSports make Saints 4/6 favourites.

It wasn't so long ago that Southampton were in the Premier League and Wrexham were in the National League so I fancy a Saints win with over 1.5 goals at 23/20.

The Welsh side don't hold back under Phil Parkinson so I also like the 20/21 on offer at Bet365 for them to pick up the most cards. Backing Wrexham at -1 in the card handicap boosts the odds to 12/5.
