Rangers v Hamilton
Scottish Premiership. Sunday, December 16. KO 3pm
RANGERS' season is in danger of unravelling and after a couple of setbacks in recent weeks Steven Gerrard will be keen to get his side back on track.
A Betfred Cup semi-final defeat ended hopes of a first trophy and five points dropped to Aberdeen and Dundee in their last two league games pushed them off the top stop they'd worked to hard to achieve.
And on Thursday the lastest disapoointment came when they lost 1-0 away to Rapid Vienna to crash out of the Europa League after a campaign that had been full of highs and lows.
Gerrard had a moan about his squad's quality after the Austria KO and there's no doubt he needs to strengthen significantly in January if he wants to stay close to Celtic in the run-in.
Omar Sadiq has returned to Roma after a disastrous loan spell and there are doubts about the future of Ojie Evaria who is loan from Liverpool. He's been decent in spells but seemingly doesn't fancy the rough and tumble of the Premiership so that's another problem for Gerrard.
Luckily for the boss the latest visitors to Ibrox are Hamilton who are perennial strugglers and lack the punch to trouble the Glasgow giants.
This should be a straightforward win for Rangers but another concern for Gerrard is the absence of top scorer Alfredo Morelos through suspension.
Kyle Lafferty is likely to be given another chance to shine but failed to make his mark against Dundee last week. He is 16-5 with 888sport to score first and 5-6 to net at any time.
If you don't fancy a Laff (goal) consider penalty taker James Tavernier to score at 47-20 or impressive centre-half Connor Goldson at 23-4.
Rangers are just 1-6 at 888sport with Accies 13-1 and the draw 23-4 so there's no value there unless you fancy a shock.
Accies have only scored in one of their last five so Rangers to win to nil has a chance at 4-5.
Without Morelos and on the back of a Europa League trip Rangers might be not be firing on all cylinders so have a look at Rangers and under 2.5 goals at 13-5.
Recommended Bets
- Rangers to win to nil (4-5)
- Goldson to score (23-4)
