CHELSEA'S first game since their £300 million January transfer cash splash saw them produce more of the same after only drawing with Fulham in a goalless bore.
And it doesn't come any easier for them on Saturday when they go east to play an improving West Ham United side, whose fans would love to rub Chelsea's noses in it.
While it will take time for his expensively-assembled squad to gel, Graham Potter is a man who needs things done in a hurry and get Chelsea to rise up the table from a lowly ninth spot.
Of course, Hammers boss Davie Moyes knows all about being under pressure and he appears to have been clinging onto his job for a while, despite last term's excellent campaign.
They have been flirting with relegation all season and only stand one point and two places above the drop zone. However, they have only lost one of their last five games and took an excellent point from Newcastle United last week.
However, five defeats from their ten games at the London Stadium isn't ideal and they will have to be at their best to match Chelsea and their new boys.
How the bookies view it
Chelsea are favourites here at a general 5/4, although SBK go 25/19.
West Ham United can be backed at 12/5 with bet365 and the draw is also 12/5 with Paddy Power.
Recent head to heads
Chelsea got the better of West Ham when the sides met at Stamford Bridge this season back in September., but the Irons beat Chelsea 3-2 in EastLondon last season and have only lost once of the last five meetings at their ground.
Players to watch
Michail Antonio has hardly been prolific this season – just two of his six goals this season have come in the Premier League. But he is better than that and can be backed to score anytime at 19/5 with UniBet.
One of Chelsea's imports last month was £29 million man Noni Madueke. The ex-PSV Eindhoven came on as a half time sub against Fulham and is 5/1 with bet365 to net on Saturday.
Anything else catch the eye?
This is likely to be a tight struggle and although it's tempting to go for a Hammers win here against a Chelsea side that struggle to impose themselves on teams, the 4/6 from UniBet on the West Ham double chance at least gives us the draw on our side too.
Chelsea's last two games have finished goalless and there's only been one solitary goal in their last three games. Four of West Ham's last five games have seen both teams fail to score.
The 20/21 on offer from BetVictor for both teams to score: No looks the call in what may be a game lacking in goalmouth entertainment.
