BOTH West Ham United and AFC Bournemouth will be bidding to return to winning ways in the English Premier League when the pair lock horns at the London Stadium on Monday night.
After making a slow start to the season, David Moyes' men recorded back-to back wins against Wolves and Fulham before battling back to earn a point at Southampton last Sunday.
However, the Hammers min-revival came grinding to a halt in a 1-0 loss at Liverpool on Wednesday, on a night where my favourite fancy at Anfield landed.
Moyes and Co can count themselves unlucky not to have taken something from their midweek trip to Merseyside but they have no time to feel sorry for themselves ahead of a visit from Bournemouth.
After being on the receiving end of a 9-0 annihilation at Liverpool back in August, the Cherries went on to avoid defeat in their subsequent six matches under interim manager Gary O'Neil.
However that impressive sequence was brought to an end on Wednesday night, as Bournemouth found themselves on the wrong end of a 1-0 reverse at home to south coast rivals Southampton.
Outright Betting
Despite winning just four of their last 18 Premier League matches, West Ham United head into this Monday night match-up as short-priced 4/7 (SBK) favourites.
AFC Bournemouth, who have avoided defeat in each of their last four Premier League away matches, arrive in the capital as big underdogs at 11/2 (BetVictor) while a share of the spoils at the London Stadium pays 16/5 (Bet 365).
Betting Angles
West Ham are worthy favourites here but they are too short to trust at such short odds so I would rather take the even-money (1/1) on offer with Betfred for Both Teams to Score.
While West Ham have blown hot and cold this season so far, they have scored in each of their last five home matches across all competitions, notching multiple times in all but one of those outings.
As such, I fully expect the Hammers to make the net bulge at least once on Monday night when faced with a Bournemouth team that have posted just three clean sheets across their opening 11 league matches of the season.
It's also worth highlighting the fact that Gary O'Neil's side have yet to register a clean sheet in their five top-flight road trips this term to date, although they may get some joy at the top end of the park against a West Ham side that are far from watertight themselves.
Six of the seven sides to visit the London Stadium this season so far have grabbed at least one goal, and the Cherries could continue that trend given that they have notched in each of their last three away matches, one of which was at Newcastle.
With this in mind, coupled with the fact that BTTS has banked in seven of the pair's last 12 top-flight fixtures combined, backing each team to oblige in East London looks worthy of interest at even-money (Bet 365).
After producing his best performance since signing of West Ham in their last Premier League home game against Fulham, I'll also take the even-money (PaddyPower) on Gianluca Scamacca To Score Or Assist.
The Italian striker has scored in each of the Hammers' last two home games so the evens (PaddyPower) about him either notching or providing on Monday night makes appeal.
