Stromsgodset are set to take on Tromso in the Norwegian Eliteserien on Sunday, 13 July in a match between two teams at either end of the league table.
Tromso come into the match as the most in-form team in the division, having won each of their last seven matches.
Stromsgodset, on the other hand, are currently the most out-of-form team in the top flight, having lost each of their last seven matches.
How the bookies view it: Tromso start as favourites
Tromso have been priced as the favourites for this match but a win for Stromsodset hasn't be completely ruled out. BoyleSports have priced an away win at 19/20, while a home win has been priced at 23/10. The draw, which would stop the rot for Stromsgodset, has also been priced at 23/10.
Head to head: Advantage Tromso
Tromso will take plenty of confidence into this match, and not just because they have won seven consecutive league matches. Gutan have won four of their last five matches against Stromsgodset, and haven't lost at this stadium since 2019. Last season, Tromso won both fixtures by an aggregate score of 3-0.
Players to watch: Deadly duo to spearhead the Tromso attack
This Tromso team are a little bit of a throwback in that they start with two strikers in tandem, making them a fun watch for the neutral, particularly when things are working perfectly like they have been in recent weeks.
The two strikers who are striking fear into the hearts of the rest of the division in Norway are Vegard Erlien and Ieltsin Camoes. Erlien is currently leading the way in terms of goals, with six in his 12 league appearances this season; however, Camoes is scoring at a better rate.
The Portuguese forward has only become a regular in recent weeks, but has already racked up five goals in seven league appearances for the club.
It's very rare that neither man gets on the scoresheet, and considering Stromsgodset are leaking goals for fun at the moment, they will both be licking their lips ahead of Sunday.
Predicted line-ups
Stromsgodset are expected to change things for this match as manager, Dag-Eilev Fagermo, desperately searches for results. They will be without Eirik Ulland Andersen on Sunday, while Markus Johnsgard is missing for Tromso. Johnsgard's absence won't have too much of an impact, as Tromso are expected to stick with the same XI that beat Molde last week.
Stromsgodset: Holmen – Taaje, Valsvik, Dahl – Vilsvik, Stengel, Krasniqi, Heredia-Randen, Westerlund – Mehnert, Farji
Tromso: Haugaard – Kinteh, Skjaervik, Guddal – Cornic, Jenssen, Edvardsson, Hjerto-Dahl, Norheim – Erlien, Camoes
Anything else catch the eye?
It's not just been the fact that Stromdogset have been losing every week in the Eliteserien for the past couple of months, but it's also the manner in which they are effectively rolling over for opponents. Fagermo's men have failed to score in five of their last six defeats, and it's difficult to see them getting on the scoresheet on Sunday. Under 0.5 home goals has been priced at 19/10 by BoyleSports.
