Girona have plunged in at the deep end for their debut in European competition, with a daunting trip on the road against Paris St-Germain kicking off their Champions League campaign.
Throughout their entire history, Girona have only spent five seasons in Spain's top flight but they're now dining at Europe's top table after finishing third in La Liga last term.
They lost two of their star players in the summer with Artem Dovbyk moving to Roma and Alex Garcia joining Leverkusen but boss Michel has been busy in the transfer market to build a squad capable of fighting on two fronts.
Girona head to Paris on a high after wins over Osasuna and Sevilla but face a much stiffer test against last season's Champions League semi-finalists.
French giants PSG have made lifting the European Cup their holy grail but splashing out on superstars such as Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi failed to deliver the prize they cherished.
All three have now left but the club's Qatari owners will be looking for boss Luis Enrique to have another good crack at winning the Champions League.
How the bookies view it: Debut boys written off
The bookies don't fancy Girona to win on their European debut, with the La Liga side 11/2 outsiders at Betfred. Paris St-Germain are 4/9 hot favourites and the draw pays 18/5.
Head to head: Out for first blood
With Girona gracing European competition for the first time, they've never faced PSG. But the French giants have a decent record against Spanish sides, winning 17 of the 40 meetings and losing just just 14.
Players to watch: Raising the Barcola
It's a new era for PSG with Mbappe jumping ship for Real Madrid but they still have plenty of firepower up front. Youngster Bradley Barcola has netted four times in four outings and looks like their best bet for a goal once that market is priced up.
Abel Ruiz was one of the players Girona signed in the summer to fill the void left by Dovbyk's departure. The former Braga striker has netted twice already and could be worth a punt for another goal in France.
Probable line-ups
Girona should be along similar lines to the side that started against Barcelona on Sunday, although Michel may freshen things up a little. PSG have doubts over Warren Zaire-Emery and Vitinha while Goncalo Ramos and Lucas Hernandez are out longer-term.
Paris St-Germain: Donnarumma, Hakimi, N Mendes, Beraldo, Skriniar, Ruiz, Lee Kang-In, J Neves, Dembele, Asensio, Barcola.
Girona: Gazzaniga; Frances, Lopez, Blind, Gutierrez; Tsygankov, Herrera, Martin, Gil; Ruiz, Danjuma.
Anything else catch the eye?
Paris St-Germain have scored three or more goals in all of their matches so far this term, setting the tone on day with a 4-1 win at Le Harve that brought up two bets for our man Gabriel. Girona also conceded three times on the road to Atletico Madrid so we could see a few strikes tonight.
Over 2.5 home goals could be worth a punt for this one at 11/8 with Betfred, who also price PSG scoring in both halves at a tempting evens. Over 3.5 match goals also looks decent at 5/4.
We saw heaps of corners in PSG's home Champions League last term, with 12 flag kicks or more coming up in both games with Dortmund plus other clashes with Barcelona, Real Sociedad and Milan. That makes over 10.5 corners worth a look here at 6/5.
