Paris Saint-Germain vs Reims

, KO: 20:00 , Stade de France
Reims

Paris Saint-Germain and Reims will contest this season’s Coupe de France final at the Stade de France on Saturday night.

It would be fair to say that the two clubs will come into this end of season showpiece off the back of contrasting campaigns.

PSG cruised their way to a record-extending 13th Ligue 1 title this term, and they will now have their sights firmly set on securing what would be a historic treble.

Ahead of next weekend’s Champions League final showdown with Inter Milan, Luis Enrique’s side will look to lift the Coupe de France trophy for the second season in succession.

As for Reims, they fell into the relegation play-off spot on the final day of the regular season after losing 2-1 away at Lille.

Samba Diawara’s side have since fulfilled the first leg of their play-off tie, earning a 1-1 draw away from home against Metz on Wednesday night ahead of next week’s return match.

How the bookies view it: PSG firm favourites

Unsurprisingly, PSG are overwhelming favourites on Saturday night, with the French heavyweights as short as 1/7 on Boylesports. Backing PSG to win both halves looks a nice alternative to consider a 21/20 with the same firm

Reims – who are targeting a first Coupe de France triumph since 1958 – are a whopping 14/1 (Boylesports) to win inside regulation time, while the 90 minute draw is also deemed unlikely at 13/2 (Boylesports).

Head to head: Reims to ruffle more feathers?

It may come as a surprise to learn that PSG are without a win in each of their last three meetings with Reims. Each of this season’s two contests in Ligue 1 between the pair ended 1-1 and the same scoreline on Saturday night can be backed at 14/1 with Boylesports.

Players to watch: Kvaratskhelia to KO Reims?

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will come into this season’s Coupe de France final brimming with confidence after scoring a brace against Auxerre last weekend. Pairing up a PSG win alongside a Kvaratskhelia goal will bring about an eye-catching even-money (1/1) Bet Builder on Boylesports.

Keito Nakamura scored in each of Reims’ two meetings with PSG in Ligue 1 this season. The Japanese international is 9/2 with Boylesports to repeat the trick at the Stade de France on Saturday night.

Predicted line-ups

Having come through their final league game of the season unscathed, PSG boss Enrique looks set to have a fully fit squad to select from on Saturday night.

Reims will again be unable to call upon the services of injured duo Mohamed Daramy and Reda Khadra.

PSG: Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia

Reims: Diouf; Sekine, Okumu, Kipre, Akieme; Patrick, Gbane, Atangana; Ito, Siebatcheu, Nakamura

Anything else catch the eye?

While Reims did hold PSG to a pair of draws in Ligue 1 earlier this season, their form has fallen off a cliff since then.

What’s more, the Red and Whites failed to score in three of their final four league games of the season.

With that in mind, backing PSG to Win to Nil also looks worthy of support at 4/5 on Boylesports.
