Olympiacos have got off to a bad start in the UEFA Champions League and this clash with PSV Eindhoven looks like a must-win game if they're to stand a chance of reaching the knockout stages.
The Greeks have taken just one point from their first three fixtures and that has left them sitting fourth bottom of the 36-team league.
Drawing 0-0 at home to Cypriot side Pafos on matchday one looked like a missed opportunity, especially with tough away days at Arsenal and Barcelona up next.
It was no surprise when Olympiacos lost both those games and their goal difference took a battering in Barcelona with a 6-1 hammering.
The Greek giants now face a PSV side who also got off to a poor start in the Champions League by crashing to a 3-1 loss at home to Union Saint-Gilloise.
But the response from the Dutch side has been terrific, with a good point in Leverkusen followed by a thrilling 6-2 win over Italian champions Napoli.
That has left them sitting 16th in the table and if PSV can bag another three points in Piraeus it will leave them in with a great chance of marching on.
How the bookies view it: Little in it
The bookies are sitting on the fence for this one, with Olympiacos priced at 6/4 by BOYLE Sports and a PSV win paying 8/5. The stalemate will be popular with punters at 13/5.
Head to head: Level pegging
These sides have proud European histories so it's a little surprising they have faced off just twice before. Those games came in the Europa League four years ago, with Olympiacos winning 4-2 in Greece then edging through with a 2-1 loss in the Netherlands.
Players to watch: Kaabi's got the knowledge
Ayoub El Kaabi was the hero of Olympiacos' Conference League triumph in 2024 and has been in fine form this season too. The Moroccan has netted nine times already and is 11/10 at Bet365 to take that tally into double figures. He's also evens with the same firm for over 1.5 efforts on target.
Romanian international Dennis Man scored twice in PSV Eindhoven's epic win over Napoli and added another on Friday night in the league win over Fortuna Sittard. He's 13/5 to keep his hot streak going in Greece.
Probable line-ups
Midfielder Santiago Hezze misses out for OIympiacos after being sent off in the heavy loss to Barcelona.
PSV should be along similar lines to the team that thrashed Napoli, with Ruben Van Bommel and Alassane Plea set to miss out again.
Olympiacos: Tzolakis, Pirola, Costinha, Retsos, Onyemaechi, D Garcia, D Nascimiento, Podence, Cabella, Taremi, El Kaabi.
PSV Eindhoven: Kovar, Salah-Eddine, Gasiorowski, Flamingo, Schouten, Perisic, M Junior, Veerman, Man, Saibari, Til.
Anything else catch the eye
Olympiacos have a tremendous home record, with their last defeat coming way back in March 2004 against Panathinaikos.
That makes me think they might just edge this one but it's safer backing a close game and the half-time draw looks good at 6/5 with BOYLE Sports.
Going for goals at both ends paid off for me when PSV took on Napoli and this game has the potential to be a cracker too.
BTTS and over 2.5 goals has landed in the last four PSV matches so combining those bets may pay off here at 20/21.
