Manchester City look to be finishing a disappointing season with a flourish but they'll need to see off a determined Nottingham Forest side if they want to stay on track for FA Cup glory.
Having won four Premier League titles in a row, Pep Guardiola's men have fallen way short of their usual standards this term and find themselves fighting for a place in next season's Champions League.
But they've finally found a bit of consistency in recent weeks and the bookies reckon a gloomy campaign will have a silver lining, with City favourites to get their hands on the FA Cup.
They head into this semi-final on a high after a dramatic 2-1 win over Aston Villa, which yielded a winner for the Betting Desk, made it seven games without defeat.
But Forest won't be an easy nut to crack, and Nuno Espirito Santo's men will move above the fallen champions in the Premier League table if they win their game in hand.
The shock troops had been faltering a little in their Champions League quest, losing two successive games, but roared back by beating Spurs 2-1 on Monday as the Betting Desk got more joy.
This is shaping up as Forest's most memorable campaign since the Brian Clough days and Santo can do something Old Big ‘Ead never managed if he can get his hands on the FA Cup.
How the bookies view it: City to stay on a roll
With Manchester City building some momentum, BoyleSports make them 1/3 hot favourites to reach the final, with those odds only increasing to 7/10 for a win in 90 minutes. Forest are 2/1 to go through and 10/3 to do the job in normal time. The draw at 90 minutes pays 11/4.
Recent head to head: Forest out to do a double
Nottingham Forest fans will take heart from their side's 1-0 win over City at home in March, with Callum Hudson-Odoi scoring the winner late on. But Guardiola's side had gone five games unbeaten in this fixture before that, with four of those games ending in victories.
Players to watch: Omar out to become a hero
With top scorer Erling Haaland still sidelined, Guardiola will look to Omar Marmoush for inspiration in attack. The Egyptian has impressed since his January signing from Eintracht Frankfurt and is 11/10 for anytime scorer at BoyleSports.
Chris Wood's return from injury is a big boost for Forest heading down the home straight and he made it 28 goals for the season by netting against Spurs. The veteran Kiwi striker is 9/4 for another strike at Wembley.
Probable line-ups
Nottingham Forest have a pretty clean bill of health, with only full-back Ola Aina on the sidelines. In addition to Haaland, City are still without key midfielder Rodri plus defenders John Stones and Nathan Ake. Keeper Ederson is a doubt after missing the last few games with injury.
Nottingham Forest: Sels, Murillo, Williams, Milenkovic, Toffolo, Anderson, Gibbs-White, Dominguez, Wood, Hudson-Odoi, Elanga.
Manchester City: Ortega, Dia, Gvardiol, Nunes, O'Reilly, Kovacic, Gundogan, B Silva, Doku, De Bruyne, Marmoush.
Anything else catch the eye?
Forest boss Santo will no doubt go with the same blueprint that has served him so well, soaking up pressure then looking to hit on the break with slick counter-attacks.
How this game pans out will depend on whether City can make an early breakthrough but I'd be surprised if we saw a lot of goals and under 2.5 strikes looks good at 20/23 with BoyleSports. Betting against BTTS also appeals at 10/11 with the same firm while backing most goals to come after the break pays evens.
With City having most of the possession, I'd be surprised if they picked up a lot of cards. Bet365 are offering 11/10 if you bet against both teams picking up two or more cards and that looks worth a punt.
