North Macedonia vs England

, KO: 19:45 Nov 20, 2023, Toše Proeski Arena
England

ENGLAND conclude their Euro 2024 qualification campaign when they meet North Macedonia at the Toše Proeski Arena on Monday night.

The Three Lions have enjoyed an almost perfect time of it in Group C, having won six of their seven matches to date.

Last time out Gareth Southgate's side cemented their place at the top of the section with a low-key 2-0 win over Malta at Wembley.

While England have already qualified for Euro 2024 with room to spare, they will still be keen to claim another three points on Monday night to put themselves in Pot 1 for the draw.

As for North Macedonia, they won't be making an appearance at next summer's showpiece as they are locked in fourth spot ahead of their final fixture.

Blagoja Milevski's men were comprehensively blown away 5-2 by a resurgent Italy side in Rome on Friday night.

Outright Betting

North Macedonia's only two victories during qualification to date have come against Group C whipping Boys Malta and that is reflected in the odds, with the home win trading at a towering 20/1 (UniBet) while the draw is an unfancied 7/1 (UniBet) with the same firm.

England are lowly 1/6 favourites with Bet 365 to sign off from their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign by collecting another three points.

Betting Angles

With England unbackable the above-mentioned quote, I'll dip into the Bet Builder and bundle up an England win alongside Ezgjan Alioski to Commit Over 0.5 Fouls at 20/21 (Bet 365).

As already alluded to, the Three Lions still have plenty to play for given that they are in pursuit of being one of the top seeds at next year's European Championship, and their greater need for the points should see them come out on top in Skopje on Monday night.

Admittedly, Gareth Southgate's side were far from convincing in their aforementioned 2-0 over Malta on Friday night, but their superior class should tell against North Macedonia side who have nothing but pride to play for.

What's more, morale must be low in the Lynxes camp following their 5-2 drubbing against Italy last time out, not to mention the hosts leaked seven against England in June's reverse fixture.

With that in mind, as well England having added motivation on their side, I'll back the visitors to emerge victorious, but to bolster the price, I'll also go with Ezgjan Alioski to commit at least one foul.

While the North Macedonia utility man is averaging just 0.7 fouls per-game in Euro 2024 qualifying, he should have his hands full here given that he should be operating in the same vicinity as vibrant England forward Bukayo Saka.

On a similar line of reasoning to the above, I'll also take it one step further and have a small play on Alioski to pick up a card at 10/3 with Bet 365.

The former Leeds full-back was prone to picking up a yellow card or two during his spell in the Premier League a few seasons ago and he looks worthy of interest to be cautioned here given the calibre of opposition he will be up against.

This match between North Macedonia and England will be played on Nov 20, 2023 and kick off at 19:45. Check below for our tipsters best North Macedonia vs England prediction. You may also visit our dedicated betting previews section for the most up to date previews.
