After suffering defeats in their opening fixtures in Group D of the UEFA Champions League, Marseille and Eintracht Frankfurt square off on match-day two on Tuesday.
Marseille began their Champions League campaign with a 2-0 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur. They frustrated Spurs for large parts of the game but capitulated in the second half following a red card to defender Chancel Mbemba.
While it was a disappointing result for Marseille, manager Igor Tudor will be keen to put things into perspective as that was their first defeat across all competitions this season. Unlike Marseille, there was no bounce back for Frankfurt last weekend as they were beaten 1-0 by Wolfsburg in a Bundesliga fixture. It was arguably an even worse performance than their Champions League clash as they once again struggled to create chances, finishing without a single attempt on target.
