ARSENAL will be aiming to tighten their grip on top spot in the Premier League when they pay Leicester City a visit on Saturday afternoon.
After being knocked off their perch at the top of the table by Manchester City last midweek, the Gunners placed themselves back in the title race driving seat with a dramatic 4-2 victory at Aston Villa.
That triumph coupled with City's share of the spoils with Nottingham Forest means Mikel Arteta's men have moved two points clear of the champions with a game in hand.
The capital club will now turn their attention towards extending their advantage at the summit – at least temporarily – when they take on Leicester at the King Power this weekend.
Back-to-back wins over Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur saw Brendan Rodgers' side put breathing space between themselves and the bottom three before they were beaten 3-0 by Manchester United last Sunday.
That setback along with results elsewhere last weekend means the Foxes will be looking nervously over their shoulder as they remain just four points away from the drop zone ahead of a visit from the league leaders on Saturday.
Outright Betting
Leicester have fallen to defeat in each of their last four meetings with Arsenal and the bookies expect that trend to continue here, with a home win trading at 4/1 (Bet 365) while a point apiece pays out at 3/1 (Bet 365).
Arsenal, who have claimed top honours in five of their last six top-flight road trips, arrive at the King Power as 4/6 favourites with Bet 365.
Betting Angles
Here, I think Arsenal are if anything a tad short, but merging two Arsenal goals and one Leicester card will bring about a backable 5/6 (Bet 365) shot.
Only star-studded Manchester City have scored Premier League goals than table-topping Arsenal this term, with Mikel Arteta's men making the net bulge 51 times thus far, an average of 2.2 goals per-game.
What's more, the Gunners have fired in a league-high 2+ strikes in 13 of their 23 outings to date, which doesn't augur well for a Leicester side that have been leaking goals at an alarming rate all season.
Only relegation-threatened Bournemouth's backline has been breached more times than Brendan Rodgers' rearguard thus far, with the King Power club conceding multiple goals in a sizeable 13 of their 23 top-flights outings this term.
As such, I'm more than happy to back Arsenal to score at least twice here, but to round off the Bet Builder, I'll throw a minimum of one Leicester card into the mix.
The home team are averaging in the region of 1.5 yellow cards per-game in the Premier League this term, while Arsenal have drawn 2.35 bookings per 90 minutes from their opponents in the league this season to date.
Given his superb form for both club and country this season, I'll also take Arsenal's Bukayo Saka to either Score or Assist at a tasty 10/11 with PaddyPower.
The Gunners wideman has either notched or assisted in 17 of his 23 top-flight appearances this term, so he definitely represents a spot value to add to that tally on Saturday.
