Inter Milan will take on Verona on Saturday, 3 May, in a match that is now a must-win for the hosts as they look to desperately cling onto their title.
After two successive league defeats, Inter are no longer in control of the title race in Italy and realistically need to take maximum points from their final four games if they are to win the Scudetto once again.
Verona, meanwhile, are on the verge of being mathematically safe from relegation. They are currently seven points clear of the drop zone and have more than likely already done enough.
How the bookies view it: Inter start as huge favourites
Given the stakes and the gulf between the two teams in terms of league position, it is no surprise that Inter Milan are the overwhelming favourites for this one. BoyleSports have priced an Inter Milan victory at 3/10, while a win for Verona has been priced at 17/2. The draw, which would be a disastrous result for the hosts, has been priced at 15/4.
Head to head: Complete Inter dominance
This is a match that Inter Milan should be extremely confident of winning, given their record against Verona. The Nerazzurri are unbeaten across their last 30 matches with Verona (24 wins, six draws) in a run that stretches back to the early 1990s.
Players to watch: Inter's forwards need to show up
Although they scored three goals away from home against Barcelona in the week, Inter have found finding the back of the net a very difficult task in domestic matches in recent weeks.
Simone Inzaghi's men have blanked in each of their last three domestic matches, and it has cost them – they have gone from being top of the league and in the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia to being knocked ut of the cup and second in the league.
Naturally, that means there is now a lot of pressure on the club's forwards, and with Lautaro Martinez set to miss this match due to injury, the burden isn't getting any easier. Marcus Thuram returned from is his own injury against Barcelona and got on the scoresheet, and he will be needed again on Saturday.
In Martinez's absence, Marko Arnautovic could be given a chance to redeem himself after a shoddy display against Roma last time out.
Predicted line-ups
Inter Milan will be without star man, Lautaro Martinez after he was taken off prematurely against Barcelona. The Argentinian won't be risked this weekend with the second leg of their semi-final tie with Barcelona still to come on Tuesday night. Verona have firepower issues, too, with Casper Tengstedt ruled out.
Inter Milan: Sommer – Bisseck, De Vrij, Bastoni – Darmian, Asllani, Zielinski, Barella, Augusto – Arnautovic, Thuram
Verona: Montipo – Daniliuc, Valentini, Frese – Tchatchoua, Serdar, Duda, Bradaric – Suslov – Sarr, Mosquera
Anything else catch the eye?
Both teams have scored in seven of Inter Milan's last ten matches, and the shackles must come off this weekend, so an end-to-end clash should be expected. Both teams to score on Saturday has been priced at 6/5 by BoyleSports.
