It will be 73 days since Aberdeen stunned Scottish football at Hampden by beating Celtic when their Premiership campaign starts on Monday.
But their former manager Derek McInnes will be determined to end their feel-good factor when his new-look Hearts side entertain them at Tynecastle.
The Dons won the Scottish Cup for the first time in 35 years with a sensational penalty shoot-out win after a 1-1 draw.
They were huge underdogs after coming into the game on the back of a dismal run, but manager Jimmy Thelin's tactical switch paid off, and he will forever be a Pittodrie legend.
But that was then, and this is now, and it looks like Hearts mean business this term.
After a dreadful campaign that saw them in the bottom six, they appointed former Kilmarnock boss McInnes and he and the Tynecastle analytics team have been busy this summer.
They have brought in six new players and really appeared to have tooled up in terms of their physicality, too.
Their League Cup campaign was a breeze, and they scored their way through, albeit against weak opponents.
Aberdeen have brought in seven players too this summer, but have lost loan striker Kevin Nisbet.
How the bookies view it: Hearts backed to burst Dons' bubble
Hearts are solid favourites across the board, with Boylesports going evens on a home win. Aberdeen are 11/5 and the draw is 12/5 with the same firm.
Recent head to head: Hearts home comforts
This is a fixture that is a home banker – Aberdeen have not won at Tynecastle in their last 13 visits and Hearts haven't won at Pittodrie in their last 13 visits either!
The sides met in a Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden in April, which Aberdeen won 2-1 after extra time, although Hearts ended up getting two players sent off.
Players to watch: Plenty to Braga…bout
Hearts' new signing Claudio Braga has hit the ground running, having scored in his last three games in the League Cup. The Portuguese ace is 9/4 to score anytime with Boylesports.
Aberdeen's new striker Kusini Yengi looks to have the No.9 position tied down for the Dons and the former Portsmouth star is 5/2 to score anytime with Boylesports.
Predicted line-ups:
Hearts veteran keeper Craig Gordon is doubtful and Jamie McCart is out. Yan Dhanda is suspended.
Aberdeen will be missing new signing Emmanuel Gyamfi and striker Ester Solker.
Hearts: Clark, Borchgrevink, Halkett, Findlay, Milne, Forrest, Devlin, McEntee, Kyziridis, Shankland, Braga.
Aberdeen: Mitov, Jensen, Dorringston, Knoester, Shinnie, Palaversa, Clarkson, Morris, Aouchiche, Keskinen, Yengi.
Anything else catch the eye?
Hearts got off to a dreadful start to the last season, but you can be sure Derek McInnes will have his team well up for this and look a solid bet to beat an Aberdeen side who look undercooked after just three pre-season friendlies.
The Dons are also very light in firepower, and it could be a struggle to score against a Hearts side who are far better organised with the addition of Stuart Findlay.
These clashes are usually full-on and expect plenty of cards, especially with bad blood between the sides after that Hampden semi-final. Over 4.5 cards at 4/6 with bet365 looks a safe call, and there could even be more.
Finally, there should be plenty of corners on Tynecastle's tight surface, especially with Aberdeen playing with two wingers. Back over 11 corners at 6/5 with Boylesports.
