Scotland return from a five month hiatus as international football comes back onto the menu this week.
The Nations League play-offs saw Steve Clarke's side paired with Greece as the Scots attempt to maintain their unlikelty Group A status.
The break came at the wrong time for the Scots after a remarkable upturn in form following a horror run.
Scotland went ten matches without a win and won only one in 16 – and that was against Gibraltar – in a run that brought Clarke to the brink since it also included a woeful Euro 2024 campaign where the Scots stank Germany out.
But a draw with Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal started the fight back before wins against Croatia and in Poland avoided bottom place.
They face a Greek side who won five of their six Nations League games including at Wembley against England.
Ivan Jovanic's side also beat Ireland home and away although the Three Lions did gain their revenge with a win in Athens.
Prior to that, they finished well behind France and the Netherlands in their Euros qualifiers before disastrously losing a play-off to Georgia on penalties whch ended their hopes.
How the bookies view it: Greek good things
Greece have gone a shade odds-on at 20/21 with Boylesports. Scotland can be backed at 13/5 and the draw is 9/4.
Recent head to heads: First meeting in 30 years
Incredibly, the nations have only met twice in their long international history. It was in the Euro 96 qualifiers and there were a pair of 1-0 wins apiece for the hosts in Athens and Glasgow, with Ally McCoist the hero for the Scots who qualified unlike Greece.
Players to watch: Van the man
Vangelis Pavlidis has been in outstanding form for Benfica with 13 goals in his last 14 matches. He is 2/1 to score anytime with Boylesports which could be value.
Scott McTominay is enjoying an excellent season for Napoli and has of course constantly chipped in with plenty of key goals for Scotland – he has 11 in 58 appearances from midfield. He is 9/2 to score anytime with Boylesports.
Predicted line-ups:
Greece will be without injured captain Tasos Bakasetas, but have called up 17-year-old Genk wonderkid Kostas Karetsas after he switched nationalities from Belgium.
Scotland have also got a player who switched nationalities after Ipswich Town hitman George Hirst was called up. Ryan Gauld, Ben Doak and Lyndon Dykes are all injured, but 18-year-old talents Lennon Miller and James Wilson were both handed first call-ups.
Greece: Vlachodimos, Rota, Mavropanos, Koulierakis, Tsimikas, Siopis, Mantalos, Masouras, Pelkas, Tzolis, Pavlidis.
Scotland: Gordon, Hendry, McKenna, Tierney, Ralston, McGinn, McTominay, Gilmour, Robertson, Christie, Adams.
Anything else catch the eye?
It's a tough one to call because of the long gap since the last internationals, but Greece could edge this against the rusty Scots, who may miss inspirational winger Ben Doak badly.
Greece have got a young squad now with plenty of energy, but Scotland have shown fight and spirit recently.
However, the hosts might be too strong at home – they have won four of their last five there – and the call is a Greek win by one goal at 5/2 with Boylesports.
Scotland have tightened up recently and Greece have failed to score in two of their last three matches. Under 2.5 goals is too short to back at 6/10 so try under 1.5 goals at 9/5 with Boylesports.
