Everton host Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday with both teams continuing their quest to beat the drop.
Everton suffered a setback in their bid to escape the drop as they were beaten 2-0 at Manchester United in their previous Premier League fixture. They were no match for the superior attacking quality of United and could have lost by more, but for the heroics of goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
The good news for Everton is that the defeat did not drop them back into the relegation zone. They are 17th on the table level on 27 points with Nottingham Forest in the bottom three and could climb to 16th if results go their way this weekend.
Home form is often pivotal in a relegation fight and Everton appear to have turned things around at Goodison in recent weeks. Sean Dyche’s men are unbeaten in four of their last five home matches, claiming three wins in that run and keeping clean sheets in all three victories.
Fulham are also coming off a defeat as they were beaten 1-0 at home by West Ham last time out in the Premier League. An early own goal from Harrison Reed proved to be the difference as they struggled to find their rhythm in attack.
The Cottagers appear to have lost their way in recent times as that defeat means they have now lost their last five matches. Marco Silva’s men remain just inside the top 10 but could easily find themselves in the bottom half if results do not go their way this weekend.
Among the problems for Fulham is a lack of cutting edge in attack which has been made worse by the absence of top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic. The Serbian striker is set to miss the third of an eight match suspension on Saturday.

Players to watch
Manager Sean Dyche often prioritises defensive discipline and organisation which has helped Everton keep clean sheets in three of their last five home matches. Michael Keane and James Tarkowski have been pivotal in that run and can lead the Toffees to another clean sheet at 6/4 with bet365.
At the other end of the pitch, Demarai Gray often carries the attacking threat for Everton and could be worth keeping an eye on. The forward is priced at 14/5 by Unibet to get on the score sheet on Saturday.
Anything else catch the eye?

Everton have won to nil in three of their last five home matches and Saturday’s clash could be tipped to follow a similar pattern at 23/10 by BetVictor.

I disagree
Everton under1. 5
Pickford will try his best to keep a cleanshit but it wont be that easy since leeds will try something
I think an over 1.5 goals would work for me
