DUNDEE host Kilmarnock on Sunday as the Premiership games come thick and fast.
Both sides were in midweek action where Dundee succumbed to a tame defeat at Celtic although they weren't disgraced by the eventual 2-0 scoreline.
They are on a poor run of form right now though and that loss was their sixth defeat in seven games. It's particularly disappointing for the Tayside club because they started the season very well indeed.
Kilmarnock were the opposite – they made a very slow start to the season, possibly because of the distraction of European football, but they have made a strong recovery.
And they made an impressive comeback in midweek to win at Tynecastle and hand Neil Critchley his first defeat as Hearts manager.
Killie have now won three of their last four games and are heading in the right direction again as they seem to be destined for another top six finish.
It's another meeting of managers Derek McInnes and Tony Docherty who were for years manager and No.2 at Aberdeen.
How the bookies view it: Dee edge favouritism
Dundee are narrow favourites here at 6/4 with McBookie.com.Killie can be backed at 19/10 with William Hill and the draw is 13/5 with Ladbrokes.
Recent head to heads: Killie recent comeback dumped Dundee
Curiously, these sides played at Dens Park a few weeks ago and will also play at Rugby Park later this month too.
It was some game when Dundee cruised into a two-goal lead before Killie hit back with three goals in the final four minutes to claim their first league win of the season.
Last season, there were four draws out of five – all league games ended in a stalemate although Killie won in the Scottish Cup.
Players to watch: Curtis the Main man
Curtis Main has scored goals for Motherwell, Aberdeen and St Mirren in the top flight and has five for Dundee so far this season. He is 12/5 with UniBet to score anytime.
Marley Watkins is a key man for Kilmarnock and scored a famous winner against Rangers the other week which was his fourth goal in five games. The Welsh striker is 17/4 to score anytime with UniBet.
Predicted line-ups:
Dundee are missing club captain Joe Shaughnessy with a long term injury. Keeper Trevor Carson is also a doubt.
Liam Donnelly is back from suspension for Kiilie who remain without Liam Polworth and Kyle Magennis.
Dundee: McCracken, Ingram, Astley, Portales, Robertson, Larkeche, Mulligan, Cameron, Sylla, Main, Murray.
Kilmarnock: McCrorie, Mayo, Deas, Findlay, Ndaba, Armstrong, Lyons, Donnelly, Kennedy, Vassell, Watkins.
Anything else catch the eye?
Dundee have now lost three home games in a row which is unacceptable, but they should be able to stop the rot with a draw.
There's a reason all four league games were drawn last season and their first league meeting was heading the same way until a Kilmarnock goal deep in injury time – there's nothing between the sides and the two managers know each other inside out.
This was a cracker a few weeks ago and both sides will go for it again. There's no reason not to expect more goals and over 2.5 goals is a solid 4/5 with bet365.
